So just a little update on our situation!!! We finally started moving into the house Thursday!! We are loving our home and have been slowly replacing the items we lost during the flood/hurricane. We have officially replaced all our big items such as furniture, beds, appliances and that sort of thing. We are very happy to be in our own space. Staying in a hotel for an extended period isn’t fun. For those who have asked if we need anything still we have an Amazon wish list of things we still need to get or things we want for the house.
I want to send out a huge thank you to our wonderful friends who have helped us bet all this done. A special thank you to Renee Crowson Langley, Mike Langley, Bearen Bates, Courtney Bates for helping so much out here and for listening to me laugh, cry and for keeping me sane during this stressful time.
We have had so many friends be there for us and help us out I can’t thank you all enough!!! I hope to have a house warming party and bbq for everyone once we get unpacked and settled in!!

We are hoping to be in the new house in the next two weeks!! They are supposed to to come do the a/c next Tuesday and hopefully will get the rest of me little stuff done between now and then. We already have power, water and sewer hooked up. We are so ready to be in our own house. Living in a motel isn’t fun or convenient what so ever.
🥰 thank you to everyone who has prayed for us, helped us, sent us things off our wish list and checked on us. We greatly appreciate every one of you and everything y’all have done to make this transition easier.

UPDATE:
So here’s a positive update on our situation 🙏🏽
Our house is due to be finished around the 22nd of August. We will have the power, water and septic hooked up hopefully by the end of that weekend. We will do a final walk through with the builders and contractors same let them know if there’s anything that didn’t meet our expectations. After that walk through we should be able to start moving in to our new house!! I’m so happy i literally cried when I got the call today!!
Please continue to share our story, and keep us in your prayers as this has been tough on all of us.

UPDATE: Yesterday we started demoing the house to get the land ready to put another house on the property. We were originally going to hire someone to do the demolition but that didn’t work out, so we are renting the equipment to do it ourselves. We are still currently in a motel in Huntsville but are hoping to be back at our property between the end of August or beginning of September.

Something I guess I always took for granted was being able to cook in my own kitchen at my own house. This whole not having a home to do simple things like laundry, shower and cooking has definitely been an eye opener. Thank you to everyone who has helped us. Please continue to share our pages and continue to pray for us.
📍 We are staying at the Home 2 Suites in Huntsville so we are able to easily run to Kroger or Walmart. Our refrigerator is small so we have to go to the store every couple days to buy stuff. Today we finally were able to buy a little burner to cook on!! I’m so excited!! I’m hoping Dustin can find my crock pot in storage tomorrow so we can use it to cook.

Here’s a little more about what’s going on with Dustin Crawford
Anything helps rather it’s a share, prayer or donation!

First and foremost our insurance don’t cover flood damage which they are saying is what caused the house to be deemed uninhabitable, we literally have rain pouring through the light fixtures the roof on one side has collapsed and the house basically fell off its foundation and caused the house to separate causing the structure to collapse.

To update a little on where we are staying we have been back and forth between our property and motel. We have to get what stuff we’re able to keep packed up over the next couple weeks.

FEMA has paid for our motel until the 26th of this month and then depending of funds we will either stay in a cheap room or couch surf until our house is ready to move into.

If everything goes as scheduled ( we’re expecting more bad weather) our house will be demolished and hauled off the first week of July, then we have to have a new pad put down so that we can get another house put here. The house company says the earliest we’ll be in a new house will be end of August through the first of September (weather permitting).

Steve got his portable building delivered today so he will be able to get moved in there once the power is connected.
I know a few of y’all said you’d rather donate through cash app which I’ll add in the comments and others have suggested that we make an Amazon wish list for things we need to replace but we can’t do that right now because we have no where to store stuff but will look more into that once we’re not essentially homeless.
I want to personally thank everyone who has prayed for us, talked with me to keep me in good spirits and those who have donated. I couldn’t have done it without each of you. I have some great friends and I appreciate y’all helping me keep it together thank you for just letting me cry while trying to figure this out.
