We're not open yet, but don't forget our food and other stock is purchasable through the feed store while we're closed.

We've been super busy today! Some heavy duty shelving got moved and set up. These ones are where the heavy fish stuff is going, tanks, substrates, larger pumps and filters, all that jazz!

We got a small animal section set up. There's lots of enrichment stuff for your fuzzy tinies. I'll show y'all my favorite one so far tomorrow.

A reptiles section is also in the works complete with rubber ducks for turtles lol. I couldn't resist!

Animals will be moving soon, and hopefully that means I'll be able to get some new ones in soon.

We're getting some of the product set up and I just wanted to show y'all a snapshot of the variety we're getting just in small animal bedding. Several brands in fun colors and natural colors. Not on the shelf yet is Oxbow brand bedding.

There's also going to a ton of enrichment products available for your furry pal!

We're getting a lot of the clutter out now that we've got most of the shelves arranged the way we'd like. The office is almost done, and we should be getting close to creating Tia's new habitat. I've been adding things to the next order because I know I missed quite a bit.

Next we'll be putting product on shelves in a way that's gonna make a whole lot more sense compared to the last layout.

We got some pet food ordered and it was delivered today!

We got Chicken Soup, Rachael Ray, CanineX, Wholesomes, Diamond, and a whole bunch more! Quantities are smaller for now, but rest assured, there will be more to come if we run out.

It was a long day of setting up the POS system with the inventory, but most of it should be in the system and ready to go for tomorrow! We're going to keep our pet foods on the Feed side until we can get things open on the Pet side. We'd hate for your critters to go without food while we're fixing things up.

I took a lot of suggestions and requests to heart. I was working on the orders while sick, so I'm sorry if I missed something specific. I'm already making sure to put items in the carts or the next orders.

We got a whole truck load of alfalfa today!

It came a bit later in the day, but we were still able to get it in the yard and covered to protect it from the impending weather. Aaron and Gabe worked with the people behind the squeeze to get it all ready.

I never imagined the sight of 8 squeezes of hay would make me so happy! We hope it makes y'all happy too!

Our alfalfa will be $18.99 per bale, so drop on by to pick some up.

I've been sick the last few days, but I'm back down at Beloved Feed today. We're open 11-4pm on Sundays to start off with, hopefully we'll get enough people in the next few weeks to expand our Sunday hours.

In the meantime, me and Andy are sorting the wet food cans!

Well, it wouldn't be Smiley luck if it wasn't SNAFU.

We ran into a pretty big structural problem with the building, so we're not particularly comfortable opening on the 1st anymore. We have let the proper people know, we've sent pictures and asked it to be fixed pronto. Unfortunately, a whole lot of cricket noises on their end.

We're pushing the opening date to Feb 8th.

Honestly, we could use the extra time. There's still so much to do, but look! We're finally getting shelves the way we want them, and I'm about to start a grand count of inventory so I can make sure I'm not getting a whole bunch of stuff we already have. I've got our two main pet distributors settled and ready to order from. We're making so much progress! And I'm so proud of my crew!

Beloved Feed is open today!

Sorry this post came so late, there's so much running back and forth between pet side and feed side. But come say hi to the awesome Nita, who's running counter today, and the illustrious Gabe, who's doing all the heavy lifting!

We are cash only until the computers are set up, but that should be soon. We'll be able to take card payments in no time!

Chris and Danny are back this weekend to wire the new office and put up the sheet rock. I have a window and a door now!

Leslie and I will probably head up today to finish up a few things at feed side and then work over at pet sidefor the rest of the day.

Some things I was waiting for to finalize some distributor accounts finally came in as well, so bear with us if your favorite products aren't here yet. They will be soon! Keep sending in the brands and products you want to see, I'll keep adding them to the list.

We moved the marquee today!

Ma and I thinks it's could definitely use a makeover. We're going to replace the runners, the new letters are already in. We want to put solar lights in it. And we're going to give it a light coat of paint to liven it up a bit. It's gonna look great.

We did run into a bit of a problem inside the pet side, but we've already contacted who we need to get it fixed. We're hoping it's gonna go quick and we can continue working inside.

We're all working hard on the feed side as well. It's just about ready, and I was able to get a Penny-Newman order in. I'm still working on our hay contact, so that might come a little later than we want. We may be cash only for a few more days after opening, but our card system is on the way!

My goodness! I can't believe I forgot to update y'all yesterday!

The feed side of the building is almost ready! We're just about done painting, and the shelves are being put back up as we speak. Gabe and Aaron will start arranging products on the shelves, we're gonna move the counter a bit so we hopefully have a bit more room.

Definitely trucking along getting everything ready. I'm hoping we don't run into anymore pits, but y'know, that's life, right?

Vaccination clinic today!

Everyone's hard at work, even the little one. Andy is handing out an information paper and a sticker to everyone in line.

We'll be opening the feed side on the 27th with our grand opening weekend happening on February 1st!

We're working on the feed side today!

While everyone was painting, we all got a very nice surprise from Leslie, along with some news.

The feed section will be opening on the 27th!

I worked hard today at making sure we've got everything we need to start making orders to have the feed store stocked. There's one more person to meet, but Penny-Newman products and the hay should be ready to go on the 27th.

The feed side is looking great though. A nice warm color for the walls, the shelving should be going up next week or over the weekend.

The 27th is the soft opening, our grand opening for the pet store will be the 1st of February. It'll be a grand weekend to be sure, and I'll have more details on that later in the week.

Unfortunately, not enough of the paperwork made it to start the year running. We're doing more of a bum-shuffle, as demonstrated by the 2nd youngest member of the Smiley family. So instead of opening tomorrow, we'll be closed for at least the rest of the week. But! Have no fear! We'll be working hard on renovations while we're closed. We're going to clean up the front, reorganize it, and move as many of the pets to the front as we can. The pet room will be closed while we make some much needed changes, so moving the animals up front will still allow us to continue being a place to give the animals loving homes. We'll keep everyone updated as things progress, and we'll let you know as soon as we do when the grand re-opening will be. Beloved Pets and Feed wishes everyone a happy 2025! Let's hope this year is much better than the last. Thank you for your patience and continued support!
