Miracle needs a MIRACLE! Her life matters!
💥🥰🎉UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!🎉🥰💥
⚠ URGENT: PLEASE HELP SAVE THIS LIFE ⚠
💗 MIRACLE NEEDS A MIRACLE 💗
Miracle, a 4-year-old mixed breed dog (Lab, Husky, Shepherd mix?), is in dire need of a second chance at life. This beautiful 70-pound girl full of energy and love, and a lust for life, has been failed multiple times, and now finds herself in a shelter, facing a euthanasia decision from the animal control shelter that she is being housed at 🖤
😭The Devastating Reality😭
Shelters can be overwhelming and traumatic for even the best dogs, causing stress to their mental and emotional well-being. Miracle, with her loving personality, is no exception. She needs a MIRACLE (pun intended!) to escape this situation and find a forever home where she can thrive. We understand the harsh reality and need for humane euthanasia, and we would never intentionally place anyone in danger when it comes to an unsafe animal. We do not shame the shelter staff for having to come to this conclusion as it is not their fault that these dogs end up in their care. If we truly didn’t feel that she is becoming a victim of the shelter life, then we wouldn’t take this kind of time to plead for her life.
💕Miracle's Best Qualities💕
Despite her difficult past, Miracle has many wonderful qualities that make her an ideal companion:
🟣She has done well with other dogs her size and energy level.
🟣She has lived with older children in the past.
🟣She walks decently on a leash and enjoys going for walks.
🟣She knows commands and is relatively obedient, even in the shelter environment.
🟣She loves to run and play in the yard, and even enjoys a refreshing dip in the pool on hot summer days.
🟣She is house-trained!
🏠Ideal Home🏠
🟪An active family, preferably with older children (teens) if kids are in the home
🟪Experienced dog owner; someone who understands that some dogs don’t want to share their food, treats or toys with others.
🟪No felines (
"Stevie" was found as a stray and no one reclaimed him. He was drenched in urine and heavily overgrown/matted. If you could only smell 👃 these photos! Once all of the gross fur was removed it was discovered that Stevie was vision impaired. He is not necessarily totally blind, however his eyes are under-developed to the point where he can likely only see light/shadows and that is how he navigates.
It didn't take long for Stevie's amazing personality to show true! This boy has all sorts of charisma! He is sweet 💖 affectionate and has a love for life, despite his past.
Stevie is looking for that special home that will love and appreciate him and how handi-capable he is! He is great with other dogs, cats and dog-savvy children. He will need to be monitored around steps and cannot be left unattended on couches, chairs, beds, etc. but otherwise he is as perfect as can be! His eyes may not guide his way but his keen sense of hearing and smell have helped him to adapt and overcome so many odds!

🥺 EMBEDDED OUCHY 🥺
This poor sweet girl was found matted, emaciated, and with an embedded hair tie around her head/neck😭. We don't know how long has she been living in this condition. Despite how she looks and how she feels, she is the sweetest little peanut. She has quite the road to recovery.

This family is in serious risk at a local overcrowded shelter. The puppies were born in the shelter on 11/29 and they have lived there almost a month. In the meantime more strays enter this shelter faster than they can get animals out. Tough decisions are being made everyday, and this family is next on the list. Is there anyone that could foster this mom and her 8 puppies? Please consider completing a foster application found on our website https://furevertails.com.
Furever Tails Animal Rescue covers all the costs for the care of the animals in foster homes. We provide food, supplies and the medical costs required to ensure we are adopting out healthy and happy pets! Fosters are not required to continue fostering for any specified amount of time, and if foster parents fall in love with their foster pet then they have the first option to adopt!
Furever Tails Animal Rescue is based out of northeast Oakland County. Our vet offices are located in Clinton Twp, Lake Orion, and Rochester. It would be ideal if the foster home was within range of our approved vet offices in case of medical emergencies or basic preventative care.
Fostering is such a rewarding experience! Many of the lives we save are those in great risk of being euthanized for no fault of their own. Saving a life can be as easy as opening your home for a temporary period of time while we process applications for a lifelong furever home!
As if it's not bad enough that shelters are overwhelmed with stray animals, it's even more challenging when medical issues are added to the long list of needs. Trinity was a stray found in Detroit that must have experienced some sort of trauma that went untreated, which left her with a dysfunctional limb. It was determined that there was no way of saving her leg and, although she had adapted to the malformation, an amputation was necessary to prevent further self-harm or long term effect.
Trinity underwent surgery and is now recovering in a foster home. It's amazing how quickly animals acclimate! Surgeries like these are not cheap, but she is a special pup and is deserving of a great future! Please consider donating to support her care and the care of others we save with similar stories.
Trinity will be looking for a family that will love her despite her imperfections. You can read more about Trinity here: https://www.wagtopia.com/pages/petsearch/?_ga=2.238695488.1117132013.1667773368-1706302650.1611883615#/search/pet?id=1564712&name=Trinity
Weeble Needs a Home!
❤️🧡WEEBLE - FOSTER NEEDED💙💜
Weeble is a special fella with a sad story. He is a sweet 10 month old puppy. His birthday is 9/2/2021 and he weighs 45lbs. Weeble came into our rescue after another rescue made promise to save him from euthanasia and then failed to follow through. He underwent an unsuccessful surgery for a prolapse of the third eyelid gland (cherry eye), and then narrowly escaped a life ending decision (euthanasia). Once safe with our rescue, our veterinarian took him into surgery to try to repair the previous surgery mess. His surgery success was short lived as it now appears that there is still yet some imperfections with his lower eyelid. We have already invested $538 into the surgeries and treatment. He is now scheduled to meet with a vision specialist on August 10 in Rochester.
Weeble loves people, especially kids. He would flourish in a home with other dogs and does well with the cats he has been in a foster home with. Weeble is crate trained and house trained. He enjoys playing with toys. He would be best suited in a home with a physical fenced yard while he continues to gain confidence with leash walking.
Weeble is looking for a foster or better yet a foster-to-adopt home while we await the prognosis and any possible future medical needs. Weeble's eye specialist appointment was scheduled weeks ago and his adoption will not be finalized until he is medically cleared by our vet. We would love to see him in his forever home while he undergoes treatment so he can adjust in a home that is going to love him forever!
Weeble's current foster is going out of town 8/7 - 8/14 and he could really use a foster for that time! Please consider helping by providing him a place to crash, you never know you might just fall in love!

Clyde sat in an overcrowded shelter for almost 4 months waiting for his chance at a better life. It was clear to the shelter at intake that there was something not right about this fella, but unfortunately not every shelter has access to specialty care. Once Clyde was safe with us and our normal veterinarian had a chance to examine him they made a referral to Dogwood so Clyde could be seen by a neurologist.
Dogwood is a very busy specialty vet so the earliest appointment we could get was not for a month later. Clyde has been safe and well cared for by one of our directors, and we have really got to know this guy - and let us tell you, he is an amazing dog with the best personality!
Upon thorough examination, the specialty veterinarian at Dogwood believes that we are dealing with a peripheral nervous system disease, in particular Myasthenia Gravis (MG). A sample of Clyde's blood was drawn and sent out to a specialty lab in California for testing.
The good news is that if the doctor's suspicions are correct, there is a medication that can help resolve some of his motor ineptitudes. Clyde may never really be "normal" so to speak, but we are hoping that we can find the right balance and treatment to help him have a longer, happier life than he would have experienced if he were still in the shelter.
Clyde will be looking for a special family when we have a better idea of his diagnosis. Please consider donating to Clyde's care as we continue to wait for answers.
LuLu has received one last bath before her diverticulum corrective surgery. She has become a pro with the dryer after all this time! We are all hopeful that this surgery is a success and that it fixes her leaky bladder! Please continue to help us support LuLu and keep her in your thoughts today as she undergoes this procedure!
Meet Tasso!
This handsome fella is feeling left out because he continues to be overlooked. He is amazing with other dogs and has no interest in cats. He is a little shy and hesitant upon meeting new faces but with a little time and patience he is the sweetest boy ever! Although Tasso is currently being treated for Heartworm, he is not a risk to dogs that are provided with preventive care. He would be best in a home without very young children as he works to build his confidence, and requires a physical fenced yard because he has no leash manners. Please share this deserving boy in hopes of finding him a furever home!
