Pancake is our female ornate uromastyx. She is just over a year old and loves her dandelions that she gets 1 a week. She sometimes likes to be held, but only on her terms.

Cleaned some enclosures on lunch break today. Freyja is slowly gaining weight. She went off food for a few months and hard to get her to eat consistently right now. She is 3, so possibly due to breeding season, but she isn’t at the weight for breeding, yet. All other snakes have gained weight and S’mores and Sif are doing great, hopefully since S’mores didn’t take last season she will this season!!!!

This is a piece of aspen I just pulled out of Nyx’s cheek. Only a very small sliver was sticking out. This is why you check your snakes out if you use substrate. I have treated the wound and put her on paper towels for a bit. She is very mad at me now, but I know she must feel better.

Haven’t been on for a while. It’s been slow with KSBs, but busy family life! We added to our family in the last few months and even though they aren’t Kenyan sand boas, I wanted to share them! Adeline is our leopard gecko and Creepy is a green bottle blue tarantula!

Idaho Medusa KSBs, Nyx and Freyja, went in a field trip today to a preschool for “S” week. I love teaching people of all ages about my snakes, or any reptiles to be honest! Thanks to my friend Jamie, who helped me today!

S’mores is still holding on to those babies! She was super active yesterday, so I’m hoping she’s close! I am not a patient person and can’t wait to see them!!

This litter has been a difficult one… I’ve lost 6 out of 10. I have 4 left and this little female is the last paint. They still haven’t eaten, but seem to be doing ok. They aren’t showing any signs of significant weight loss and they all have pooped…

This is my fave out of this litter! He is super calm and doesn’t seem to mind being held he wrapped his body around my finger and started weaving!

Baby watch 2023 has begun for S’mores! There are times that her tail is lifted and babies seem to have dropped closer to her tail!

Momma Sif was looking hungry, but when I went to feed her, her eyes were a bit foggy… hopefully she sheds soon!
