Lost, small black cat (Lola) in Fairway Oaks. If found, please contact William Ellis at 423-736-3376
Ginger is an orange tabby lost today from SW 87th Terrace in neighborhood 2. She is 10lbs, spayed and microchipped. She is an indoor cat. Please contact her owner's neighbor Juliette at 908-625-4925 if spotted. Elderly owner is heartbroken.
ATTENTION ALL PET OWNERS: January and February are Coyote mating season and they are very aggressively looking for food.
They can scale a 12 ft fence with ease and jump into your backyard, or on your front porch within seconds and take your beloved dog or cat. Hunters found a Coyote den that had several dog collars of pets they had killed and no telling how many were killed without the collar. When you let them out to potty...better stick with them and watch for these killers.

Just for your information
PSA: When you see a photo of a dog that was found and the person posting says they can't find the owner and is looking for assistance, please tap on that person's profile photo and judge whether or not the post is legit. The same if it is a missing person, particularly a child or an elder person with dementia, or just a really great deal on renting or purchasing a home.
New scams include posting a pic of a child saying she is looking for her birth parents as well as a person celebrating their 100+ birthday and wanting to get shares to acknowledge it!
How can you tell?
Well, if the person is in some other part of the world and has no other posts, it's probably a scam.
——other flags to look for
1) the ‘person’s’ profile is actually a PAGE
2) the ‘about page’ will show you its a business page, how many administrators, etc - personal profiles do NOT have admins.
3) locations are #
4) if it’s a legit missing senior, who drove off in his truck with his dear dog, there would be a silver alert or some kind of post from the police. Only share posts from law enforcement agencies or national alerts regarding missing people because they are confirmed legitimate
5) red flag number five, comments on the original post have been turned off. Why is this a red flag? Because if you are missing your loved one or your pet, would you not want someone to be able to comment?
6) the poster has only recently created the profile and has 0 friends

Why would someone do this?
Because once you share their post, they can then change the post to anything they want. And suddenly you are advertising weight loss products, or sunglasses, or rallies for politics you are not supporting or to get you to directly message the original poster who then can hack into your Facebook. (Who knows with scammers these days! 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽)
We all have the sweetest intentions to reunite pets with their owners, but scam artists prey on this. Unless there is a specific location, or the person sharing has mutual friends with you, just keep scrolling.
And never send money. EVER!!!
Lucifer is back home!!

Anyone missing this kitty?
Nestlé Purina PetCare Company has expanded its voluntary recall of Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EL Elemental (PPVD EL) prescription dry dog food to two additional product lots, which precede the production dates of the previously recalled lots.
The expansion follows an investigation prompted by Purina that uncovered new information about a production error from a U.S. supplier made regarding this specific formula only and which resulted in potentially elevated levels of vitamin D.
The lots are:
UPC code: 38100 19190 – 8lb Product code: 2213 1082 (NEW)
UPC code: 38100 19192 – 20lb Product code: 2214 1082 (NEW)
No other Purina pet care products are affected.
Can't beat free!! Call to pre-register....

**UPDATE**
It is with great sorrow that I tell you that Brady was found by his owner hit by a car and deceased this morning. He was hit very close to his home.
Thank you to everyone who was helping in trying to find him. The owner understood how difficult cats are to locate, as she said she had been looking many times right in the area where he now was found hit.
As of 1/2/23 3:30pm, Brady is still missing. The litter pan is unused, the traps get fresh food x2/day, but they're empty. Flyers with his picture have been printed and distributed/saturated in neighborhoods 4,5,and 6. Owner has been out each night looking and calling for him.
Please keep your eyes out for him.

We have absolutely wonderful news to report. YOGI, a pet that went missing on April 14th has been FOUND and is now back HOME! He was found in Dunnellon on Hwy 41. He was in poor medical condition. When taken to the Inverness Animal Shelter, he required open wound care, infection care, had to be shaved, wormed, clipped, and more. The shelter scanned him and he DID have a chip! They contacted the vet identified by the chip, and obtained the number for Mike and his wife. Mike called me, but I was out of town, so I called our volunteer, Phyllis, who had been involved in the searching for Yogi from the beginning. Phyllis jumped into gear, taking Mike to the shelter where the jouyous reunion happened. Yogi had not moved since arrival at the shelter, and when Mike said “Yogi Boy”, he started jumping around and barking! The staff at Inverness was also very happy, and Phyllis raved about their kindness, consideration and professionalism in the way they cared for Yogi. Phyllis not only helped tremendously, she went way above and beyond by driving 60 miles, then when they got home, she quickly gave Mike a nice set of dog bowls, food, treats, and even a new squeaky toy for Yogi, as Mike had given away Yogis items some weeks ago. Sherrie gave him a dog bed and long leash. Here’s a few photos and a video Yesterday late afternoon, Phyllis and I went over together to take visit.
