IMPORTANT PSA!: I am sharing this post to inform people in my community that as of 9/1/2024 you will no longer be able to sign up for 12, 24 or 36 month Short Term Private Health Insurance due to a law that Biden has changed.

After 9/1/2024 you will have to switch carriers in every state every 3 months! The problem with switching is that is:

1.) Inconvenient for those insured to keep changing carriers.

2.) If you develop a health condition....the next carrier could refuse you and say that it is a "Pre-existing Condition" which would force you on to Marketplace aka Obamacare.

3.) There is also the possibility that your current doctor(s) may not take the next carrier or Marketplace/Obamacare!

***My work around for any people being offered expensive COBRA after a lay-off, individuals, self-employed person, business or farm is to write 36 month or Tri-term plans between now and August 31st which is the cut-off for Traditional Short Term Private Insurance.

Time is ticking down to the August 31st deadline due to Biden signing into law that if you have private PPO short-term health insurance - the 12, 24 and 36 -month time period will be discontinued as of 9/1/24!

The new law states that if you have private short-term coverage that you will need to switch private insurance every 4 months or 120 days. The problem with this law is that if the insured develops for example diabetes, high blood pressure or even cancer - the next private insurance carrier could deny the insured based on a "pre-existing" diagnosis leaving them with no coverage. If the insured cannot get onto another private carrier for coverage the only solution would Obamacare aka Marketplace which is HMO and EPO - many doctors are no longer accepting HMOs or EPOs.

Many people do not want to be on Obamacare/Marketplace because it is an HMO or EPO due to policies being restrictive and some doctors and hospitals will not be accepting this insurance much longer. Many of my self-employed clients with higher income who have ended up on Obamacare/Marketplace end up paying for inferior coverage with higher premiums due to their higher income!

I can help you navigate with continuous private PPO coverage and/or a great full board Major Medical plan that will not be impacted by this new law starting 9/1/24. I have several workaround solutions to this upcoming change in the insurance industry.

I live in a part of Florida that does not have many choices when it comes to internet. Being often I work remotely.....high speed very reliable service was a MUST! I was not going to experiment with local providers that charged a lot and did not offer a lot.
