Corned beef is very dangerous for pets to eat! The meat is soaked/treated with high levels of salt making it toxic for dogs or cats to consume. Even a small amount can cause illness, kidney failure or may even be fatal, so keep your holiday meals out of reach of the four-legged ones!

Earlier this month, staff members at Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR) in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, were walking through rows of kennels when they locked eyes with a particularly devastating scene. A longterm shelter resident named Rosa was splayed on her bed, and she looked completely dejected.

PSA ~

We encourage everyone to visit Prevent Pet Suffocation! It's really opened our eyes to the risk of suffocation that chip bags and other food waste products posed to our pets. The stories are heartbreaking! A tiny bit of extra effort when disposing of food waste products can be life-saving for the pets we love.
