What a phenomenally inspiring day at the TSDA - Texas Sheep Dog Association trial at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo! The sheep were impressively robust and healthy white dorpers but proved to be a daunting challenge for all the dogs. I am quite pride at how our girls rose above the tough times. It was wonderful to see everyone and hearty congratulations to the champions of the day and to all the competitors! Thank you to Linda Spindor, Jennifer Anderson, Jeri Jessee, Maci McGraw for your unwavering commitment, and to all the FWSSR workers. It was a long day and I'm sure everyone was utterly drained. Fun but challenging trial at Armadillo SDT. Ran first trials Friday with Jessi and Tess in Open and Pearl in Open Ranch. The sheep are tough Rambouillet and it is a challenging course.
Proud of the girls; they all listened and worked as best they could under the circumstances and that’s all I ask. Good learning experience for these young dogs and for me. We go again Saturday.

Today was Aggie 2 Trial in College Station. Courses changed and that added thought and challenge to the fun trials!! Girls did great; very proud of them. Note taken though - Handler needs to work on her shedding.

Dogs, Jessi and Tess did well at Aggie 1 Trial in College Station. We had a bit of time off before the event due to handler illness so they had not trained much but I was pleased with their work. It is a fun venue with great people.

This Friday, May 3, the Corpus Christi Hooks play the Roughriders. Afterwards there will be Mutton Bustin and later fireworks.
We will be there with the Border Collies to watch the game and afterwards the dogs will be on the ball field to keep the sheep in check during the Mutton Bustin and then later gather and herd them across the field to load them up and send them home. We hope to see you there.

The vote is in! The Board is excited to announce that the 2024 Finals will be held at Swindall Ranch in Gatesville! Thank you to Brent Swindall for generously offering your beautiful ranch to us.
