Super proud moments today at the Bakas Charity show! Sallye Boyer Kirby got 2 firsts, one in a walk trot lope class that was a nice size, and Kayla Brown earned second in the same class- her first lope class ever! Way to go Team!

Madison Stables attended the Suncoast Dressage and Combined Training Association (SDCTA) show today! Our own Kayla took some blues in both English and Western Dressage! Great job Kayla! Sallye took on her first Western loping class and did fantastic! And Tanner was extremely well behaved (shocker!) and he and Juli made it through a few tests. A fabulous time was had by all! Of course Danielle Johnson is still the best reader ever, Christie the best helper, and Tamara took some amazing photos and videos! Thank you Suncoast for another fun and fabulous show!

Two of our riders showed in the Special Olympics Regional competition this weekend! Kayla achieved two first places and Sienna achieved a first and second place! These two are on their way to Special Olympics State Competition at WEC! Congratulations on a job well done representing Bakas and Madison Stables! Luke, Emma, Dakota, Luke 2 and Flash all volunteered too! They also got to showcase some special riders!

Lajuf February 2024 is a wrap and what a fabulous show it was. This was a huge show with some great competition, and a little rain on Sunday! I am going to attempt to capture some results and hopefully people will help me by dropping results in the comments so I can update this post! 😊

First off we had the new pairing of Ansley and Val/Fern/Rose ( still pinning down that name...)! V/F/R is a large and young warmblood mare, quite different from the beloved and now retired Solte that was a stout 15 hand obedient little guy- but she was so well behaved! We only see great things coming from this new pair.

Next we had Sallye join us for Western Dressage on Luke, and did they ever knock it out of the park scoring 68% and 70%!

Bitsy and Luke took on some Hunter classes and did great too!

And then Lindsay did Dressage with Bishop for her first time ever and killed it with a Training 2 test score of 66%! Seriously, never even practiced in a ring! Lindsay is a super talented rider and we love having her on our team!

Of course the dream team of Maddie and Dakota had a ton of success. Dakota is getting older and we are slowing him down (or trying to lol) but he still took Champion in 18" jumpers, first in Obedience, first in the Medal flat, and then Maddie jumped on Whynie and took the Medal in over fences too!

The lightning fast super team of Hannah and Whynie got rained out unfortunately, but we will see them flying next show!

Hannah and Tanner took a 3rd and 5th in a HUGE Baby Greens hunter class. We haven't been jumping so baby horse did great, and he also did good in Dressage with Mom Juli, earning an 8 on his halts (we worked hard on that) and great scores for his free walk.

We also had Ella and Bishop doing fabulous with second in the MTE 2' hunter round, clear in 2' jumpers, and two 5th in Pre-children hunters!

Mercades and Flash rocked it in Pre-childrens.

Danica and Dan tackled some hunter and jumper classes!

Zoey and Flash took on the 18" jumpers!

And last but by far not least Hadley and Dakota took the win in the 9 and under Hunter Eq, and then she jumped on a not so well behaved Flash but managed to stay on and finish her jumping courses!

Great Job Team! And a huge thank you to our fabulous parents, haulers -Stephanie, Jimmy and the Tuggles, cheerleaders, Christie our amazing extra pair of hands, and our fearless leader/trainer Dani!

Horse showing takes a village to make it happen, even more so when your fearless leader and half of the show team is across the country at the American Royal National Show. HUGE thank yous go out to the Tuggles for hauling and always helping with everything! To Stephanie and Jimmy also for hauling, to Shawn for being a trailer packer extrodinaire! And to Lindsey and Maddie for helping all of the kiddos in Dani's absence. It was a great show!
