Puppies are finding their forever homes. Therapy dog, herding dog, ranch dog, adventure dog. Colorado, Utah and Idaho. So excited to see their journey.

Miss Dotty West went to her new home today. Her grown up job will be a therapy dog. She is full of life and smiles but has a very calm energy. She will bring many people comfort and smiles. So excited for her journey.

Motivation, courage, confidence, trust. These are all words you gain by getting out there and doing it. Stock dog training can be challenging, frustrating and rewarding all in a matter of 5 min. These are emotions your dog is feeling too. The difference is they don’t let it get to them.

How to build self confidence within a dog?

It’s the same with any individual, weather dog or human. Self confidence is gained when an individual learns how to rescue themselves. Give the dog the opportunity to learn to rescue themself. If the dog finds the answer they gain confidence. No rescuing. If we intervene to try and help them find the answer, we also take away the opportunity for the dog to learn and grow rather than me always having to supply the answers.

Keep this in mind when you set up the situation, then allow the dog the agency to choose their response on their own.

If you are correct your dog will be correct.

I am taking deposits for this litter and selection will be starting in just a few weeks. Let men now what questions you have. There are 6 females and 1 male, They are registered with the American Border Collie Association. They will come with papers and some online training. Other training packages will be offered with purchase as well.

I just want to say thank you for going on this journey with me. Breeding the best all around border Collies. Breeding a solid minded dog that is not crazy and that has a natural "off" switch. This first litter is just that. I own both parents. They are both competitive herding dogs but also wonderful companions and house dogs as well. They love to adventure but they also love to slow down and snuggle. You set the pace and they will let you lead. I will share there journey as well as the puppies growth and journey here as well. I do have an IG account you can follow us there as well. I want this page to be a place you can ask questions about Border Collies and ask for help in training as well as getting the right Border Collie for you.
