Big makeover for Kira is all done! I like the my little pony cutie mark look on her. This time it’s a custom starfish cutie mark for summer and her love of the “beach” near us.

Changing Kira’s hairstyle so I can do an Asian fusion look is a pain waiting for the growing process. It’s awkward right now.

I got rid of the pony mullet/Mohawk today and started some shaping for a top knot/round head. Her ear set is quite high so we need to grow hair there to blend into her ears to give a rounder illusion rather than the traditional poodle top knot of using the top of ears as a guide for where to separate it. (With her that is a great guide for the Mohawk/mullet look but not top knot/round head look) Also have to continue growing out her face and above her eyes as well as more hair on the head itself. But I know the patience will pay off.

Also I’m not squishing her face, she was licking my hand 😂

I’m slowing building up my “stash” of grooming tools! All of this has been collected over the span of a year, some of it, like the combs, more. None of its super fancy stuff minus the Andis clippers. My dryer and scissors aren’t the “best” on the market but they honestly work quite well. Missing are my metal gaurd comes for my clippers because they’re at my place of work lol.

A couple cuties from today. I have an extra soft spot for cavaliers and poodles. So to do a poodle day one and a cavalier day two has been a treat!

Molly (the mini Aussie) was anxious, but felt much better about the bath and dry process with soothing talk and the ability to snuggle into me with some extra pets and pauses here and there to regroup.

Charlie (cavalier) was quite calm and enjoyed watching his brother getting dried right next to him. They’re obviously very bonded 💜

Started my first day today as a bather! Grooming training will come. I had a wonderful time. Her are a few of the dogs I worked on today. Including a poodle puppy 🥹
