Since everyone here is an animal lover I’m hoping someone can help me find this girl a home! This is Lily, a 12 week old shih tzu pup looking for her furever home! She is cuddly and friendly with all people and other dogs. She is an alpha female despite her tiny size. She shows her brother who’s boss. 😂 She is not AKC registered but is a full breed so current owner is asking $500 for her. She’s currently working on potty training and is getting better every day! If you or anyone you know is interested in this super sweet, super cute baby, let me know!

Happy May, my friends. It’s feeling like summer today which means I’m here to remind you to not wait a minute longer to book your pet care for your summer vacations! I’ve already had to turn down a few people because Jaime and I are filling up! Come to think of it, you might as well book your fall and winter trips too to ensure your babies will be well taken care of while you’re gone! Also, because I have recently lost a few of my weekly regulars, I’m looking to fill a slot or two in the coveted “lunchtime” hours of my weekdays so if you’re in the Beavercreek area and want someone to check in on your babes while you work a long day, let me know! Or if you’re south of town, Jaime could help you out! This is a rare offer as everyone wants that midday time frame so I’m sure it will fill asap. Here’s my dear friend, Rosie, to give you something to smile about today.

It has been a rough couple of weeks in the pet care world. I have lost several clients, 3 of which have crossed the rainbow bridge. I have the most wonderful job in the world but it is truly heart breaking sometimes. While they all deserve their own post, I don’t want to blow up your feed so this will be one long post.
Nala: this one really broke me. She was a dear friend’s pup who I have had the pleasure of caring for dozens of times over the years. She was the sweetest love bug who gave the stinkiest kisses and snored like a grown man. She lived a great, long life and will be missed by many.
Mika: I only met Mika 4 months ago and she was already in somewhat poor health but she quickly declined over the past month. She was sweet and gentle and quiet. I feel privileged to have been trusted to help care for her at the end. She also lived a long, wonderful life with a mommy who went above and beyond to care for her.
Grace: she had an awful start to life, tortured by a group of kids. But she was rescued by two wonderful mommies who spoiled her rotten. She was just as sweet as can be and did the cutest howl when she wanted to play. I’ve been caring for her for years and she left us quickly without much warning. This was another heartbreaker.
May all these pups fly high and rest easy, without an ounce of pain. Until we meet again, sweet angel babies. Donation has been made in their memory to Highland County Humane Society, where our recent foster cat was from.

Did you know that 15 minutes of mental stimulation/sniffing is as tiring for a pup as an hour long walk? It’s a gross rainy day today so my buddy Maya and I went to Lowe’s and made friends and got lots of new sights and smells! I’m always happy to take your pup on an adventure if a walk isn’t in the cards.

Another one crosses the bridge. I only met sweet old Giz last year when she was already in terrible health, which is why I was needed for extra potty breaks. Despite not feeling well, She was so tolerant of me carrying her outside and changing her diaper. While I didn’t get a lot of snuggle time with her, she still managed to leave a paw print on my heart and I feel blessed to have been a part of her care in the last year of her life. I only wish I could have known her in her younger, healthier years. Fly high Giz, in a place free of pain and free of diapers. Your family misses you fiercely. 4/3/07-1/29/24. Donation made to the local schnauzer rescue in her honor.

As you can probably imagine, the hardest part of my job is losing a furry friend to the Rainbow Bridge. I get so invested and fall deeply in love with my clients and inevitably end up heartbroken when they pass. This year I’ve decided to try to make a little lemonade out of the sourest of lemons by making a donation to a local shelter or rescue in honor of each client of mine that passes in an effort to help save another animal. Sadly the first of the year has already happened. Oh sweet, precious Bean. She was the tiniest little love bug. I only knew her for about a year but she sure did leave a huge paw print on my heart. Even after I poked her for her insulin injections, she forgave me and provided me with snuggles and tiny kisses. She was loved fiercely by everyone who knew her and she will be missed tremendously. In her memory I have made a donation to Homeward Bound Animal Rescue. Hope you’re having a good ole time up there Be**er Weiner. Wish I could smooch your little face one more time.

Well 2023 will definitely be a year I will never forget. It was my first full year of having my own business and to say it exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. Never in my wildest dreams could I have conjured up the success I’ve found with something I created, and something that brings me so much joy on a daily basis. So if you’re reading this and you have patronized me or sent a client my way, I am eternally grateful for you being a part of making my dreams come true! I cannot wait to fall more in love with your fur babies in 2024! Now get your babes on my book because Jaime and I are booking up quickly! Photo of my nearly 18 year old immortal feline named Puppy. She will outlive us all.

PSA: you may or may not have heard but there is a mystery dog illness spreading across the country right now. Vets are urging dog owners to keep their pups out of high volume places like grooming, dog parks, pet stores and boarding! Even more reason to hire a pet sitter to stay with your fur babies this holiday season instead of boarding. Let us help you keep your pets healthy! Still lots of availability in December. Cute photo of my pal Daisy for attention.

I know some of you are traveling for Christmas so what are you waiting for? Get your babies on our schedule asap! As of now Jaime and I are very open for Christmas but it won’t stay that way. Let us love on your babies while you spend time with family and friends, like I did today with sweet Miss Belle.

Thanks to your shares we donated $40 to Homeward Bound! Rescues and shelters everywhere are incredibly overwhelmed and every single day animals are being euthanized for lack of space. Please consider opening your home and heart to foster an animal in need! All supplies and food is covered by the rescue so fostering costs you nothing but love and it’s truly the most rewarding feeling to know you saved an animal’s life.

Hello my friends! Hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous fall weather we are blessed with. Speaking of fall, it’s almost November and you know what that means! Time to get your fur babies on my schedule for the holidays! Thanksgiving is booking up but there’s still some room because I have a wonderful helper this year! Still have plenty of room for Christmas but that will change quickly so don’t put it off. And exciting news, my amazing helper is able to take some you south-of-towners that I can’t commute to. We are also happy to get you booked for your trips next year. Already have a few clients that have booked me through 2024 so it’s never too early to plan. But don’t forget, it’s not just sitting we do. Lots of my business is dropins and walks so keep us in mind for that too! And because I haven’t made any donations lately, for every share of this post I will donate $2 to a local animal rescue. Can’t wait to love on your fur babies!! Photo of my handsome boy enjoying the beautiful day, for attention.

NOW HIRING!! When there are so many wonderful clients, but only one me…I suppose it’s a good problem to have! I am blessed but could use a little help so I can take days to take care of myself so I can be my best version to care for your babies! There’s a long list of qualities/qualifications I am looking for in a person I would trust to help care for my beloved clients but we can chat more about that if you are seriously interested. But right off the bat here are a few of the main things I’m looking for:
*Available evenings (not all evenings, just ones I need off) and weekends
*Willing to stay overnight at clients’ home
*Reliable vehicle and phone
*Excellent and prompt communication
*Very strong work ethic (there are no sick days in pet care!)
*Responsible and trustworthy
*Close to or willing to travel to Beavercreek/Fairborn/Xenia where most of my clients are located.
Please note: this will be a part time gig to just help cover me on days off or when two clients need the same dates. It could easily/quickly turn into more than that if it works out well between us, as I’m consistently turning away clients for lack of time.
If you or someone you know and trust is interested in learning more, please PM me! I already have a few good candidates but it’s always good to have choices, or more than one helper!

Happy Summer everyone! Now that I can finally catch my breath, figured I should pop in and say hey since I haven’t in a while. June was a record breaking month for my little business and I am so grateful for all my wonderful clients who made that happen. June also made it very clear that I have to find time for a day off here and there! 😂 So please let me know with as much notice as possible if you need pet care this fall or winter because I want to care for your babes but I will be picking a couple days each month to take off, and limiting my overnights. Looking forward to hearing from you! Here are my sweet babes for tax.

Sometimes this job just sucks. I inevitably fall in love with the fur babies that I spend a lot of time with and unfortunately that can lead to heartbreak because animals don’t live nearly long enough. I’ve already lost 5 clients this year alone. Yesterday I was so grateful Stella’s mommies contacted me to let me know it was her last day with us on earth and they knew I would want to say goodbye. As gut wrenching as it was, I am so grateful for my relationship with this family that I was included in her final hours. Rest easy sweet girl. You have left a huge paw print on my heart.

Wowza my summer is booking up quickly!! I am so blessed to be so busy but I want to be available for your babies so if you’re planning a trip this summer or fall, let me know ASAP! And for your viewing pleasure here’s a 3 month old dose of seratonin for ya. Meet Snickers. 🥰

I’m baaack! I took a much needed vacation this week and I feel refreshed, revived, and ready to provide your babies with the best care around. I truly believe we need to recharge our minds and souls to be our best versions of ourselves so please know I will be taking at least one more vacation this year and hopefully 1-2 days off per month to prevent burnout. So make sure to get your babies on my book with as much advance as possible! Can’t wait to see all my furry friends next week!

Most of you know, but some of you are new to my page (thanks for following!) so just a quick recap of what I’m doing. I love to foster animals but I am gone too much taking care of yours so in lieu of fostering I have decided to make a monthly donation to a local rescue and I base the number on how many jobs I complete that month. Every completed job equals $1 donation. So this month I chose Greater Dayton Lab Rescue because it holds a special place in our hearts as it is where we found our very own foster fail, Mr. Bennigan Roo. And it just so happens to be his birthday today! Thank you to those of you who helped contribute to my donation by asking me to care for your precious fur babies. 💙 And happy birthday to our precious baby boy!

Physical exercise is imperative for the health of a pup but did you know that mental stimulation from new places, experiences, and smells can often wear a pup out more than a long walk? Today was a real feel of 19 degrees so instead of a long walk, Jupiter and I went on an adventure to Feeder Supply after our quick stop at the dog park. He was tuckered. 😊 I am always more than happy to change things up by taking your pup to a nearby store to expose them to new things and let them experience the world outside your home.

Happy March everyone! And what glorious weather to kick it off. 😎 Miss Abby wanted to stop by and tell you I still have some openings for dropins for your spring breaks so let’s get your babies on the books to ensure they will be spoiled while you’re gone! Now head outside in the sunshine and walk your pups, or call me to do it!

This month’s donation went to a local rescue called Wonder Dogs Rescue. It is where one of my dear friends adopted one of my favorite clients from, sweet ‘ole Bear. Remember every completed booking is another dollar for another rescue or shelter so help me help animals by booking me to care for your babies! Adding a pic of Bear for attention. 💙

I frequently get asked what services I provide so to save you the time of looking through my page, here it is:

Drop in visits (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes): these typically consist of potty breaks, feeding/meds, litter box cleaning, snuggle/play time

Sitting: This is an overnight stay that typically starts late afternoon/early evening and goes until mid to late morning. These are a little more limited, as my regulars tend to book me a few months in advance, and I try to only do 2-3 weeks worth of overnights in a month.

Walks: 30 or 60 minute dog walk

Weddings: Transportation and supervision of pets for the purpose of including them in the ceremony and/or photos

Prices depend on location and number of pets. Here’s a pic of puppy Ollie, who I take on long walks several times a week. And he’s just adorable.

In regards to my post earlier in the month about donating to local shelters and rescues in lieu of fostering…I decided to do it monthly instead of quarterly. This month’s donation was made to Pawsitive Warriors Rescue since that’s where our latest foster was from. So with 22 shares of my original post and 32 completed bookings for the month, you helped me donate $54! Sure, I wish I could donate thousands but every little bit helps. Thank you to everyone who shared my post and of course to my wonderful clients who support my career!

Fun fact: I don’t just care for cats and dogs! Lucy is here to let you know I will take care of any type of pet! So far my repertoire consists of the following: goats, chickens, peahens, rabbits, Guinea pigs, lizards, fish, frogs, and probably others that I can’t think of at the moment. All animals deserve good care!

Most of you saw this already on my personal page but for those of you that didn’t, please meet Trixie! She is a 7 month German Shepherd mix who was left in a crate 24/7 and not fed. She’s skin and bones but she’s a doll baby! Her favorite thing is playing with other dogs, in fact it takes all her anxiety away. So she would do best with another playful pup to wrestle with. She CANNOT be with cats. She loves belly rubs and giving kisses. She’s a very good listener. I truly think she will make a wonderful addition to a family. I hear she loooves kids too. Let me know asap if interested! We can’t keep her here long bc of our cat.

I am beyond blessed that I’m staying busy with this business but the only downfall is that I now have less time to foster animals. But there are other ways I can help animals in need! This year, and moving forward, I have an idea. For every completed booking in 2023 I will donate $1 to a local animal shelter or rescue. I think I will pick a new one quarterly. At the end of each quarter I will submit the donation in a lump sum. So help me help animals in need by choosing me to be your pet care provider! In addition, I will donate an additional $1 for each share of this post. So share, share, share! And let me know when and how I can help with your pet care needs. Photo of our own “foster fail” in a blanket for attention. 💙

Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful weather today! I know Myla, Lincoln, my two monsters, and I sure enjoyed getting some fresh air and exercise! I don’t just do overnights for vacations. In fact, a majority of my business is just dropping in to let your fur babies out to potty, feed them, or walk them. Let me know if I can help during your long work day or during a day trip.

12/30/2022

Obviously I do pet care full time because it is what I love but it’s just the icing on the cake when someone takes the time to leave me a wonderful review or a thank you card saying things like “such a relief to not worry about them when they can’t come with us” and “you add so much love and care to your charges”. This is so much more than a job to me. It is my passion and I’m confident in saying that my passion is reflected in the care I provide your fur babies. I look forward to continuing to do so in 2023!
