In our business, we hear a lot about legends. This week we lost a true legend of the business. When I think about what makes a man a legend, I think about the quality of his work, the way he operates, and interacts with his peers, but most of all what makes a man a legend is how he provides for his family, how he creates meaningful relationships and how he will do anything to help a friend or neighbor.
As I sit and reflect on the last five years we have been at Checotah Livestock Market so many memories and great times come to mind about Josh Withrow. Josh always operated with honesty and integrity. Those are two things that Josh had that you will not hear anyone dispute. As cattlemen, and business owners we, along with many others, looked up to Josh. There are a lot of great men and women in our business, but this week we lost one of the very best. Without a doubt, we know Josh is in heaven today. Pain free, worry free, buying horned cattle and hunting in some of the most beautiful country he has ever seen.
To the Withrow family, we love you, and we are thinking of you.
