Hi David,

Just wanted to give ya an update! Things are going well on the training front with Kai. We’ve been working and refreshing all the techniques we worked on together and she is doing really well. Thanks for your help and we will reach out for another session when we are ready to step it up even more.

In a life long pursuit of
learning dogs,
Irony! (cleaning a deaf dog's ears)

Bentley's had her ears wiped out, but never washed with the epi-otic solution stuff. She bucked, she kicked, she settled and realized it felt wonderful.
Shake Shake Shake, wipe wipe wipe, and off to the races she went.

Maybe a little different than the average dog home... grieving and loss and change, they look a little different here as they are normally and frequently occurring events. (thus, the multi-generational home)
Also... an on-the-job grieving, if you will, as we need stable dogs training our paying customer's dogs. And it works, and then we get home, and we dog pile and let another day go by without Roger. We heal.

But after the group is bedded down for the night and I have a moment of thought to myself... part of moving on and healing is looking to the horizon. Asking... who is out there?

So...no matter where YOU (you know who you are) are or what you have done... just come home. No questions asked.
We'll wait, patiently.

We lost our dog Roger to a ruptured cancerous growth. It was not something we had warning to (the cancer or the rupture).
But... before we humanely let Roger pass, the Dr. and Staff at
Veterinary Emergency Group Edgewater demonstrated professionalism and excellence in applying all life-saving measures, stabilizing Roger, discussing options (there really were none, not viable anyway) and calmly taking us through the euthanasia process.
Absolutely, we are heart broken over the loss.
Veterinary Emergency Group made it bearable.

"I'm a dog trainer, but I don't do sit-n-stay. We work on the very broken ones... former fighting dogs, bait dogs, human attack history, beaten burned and abandoned."

Tobi (photo 1, highly reactive and dog & human aggressive) we started working with 3-4 weeks ago. We've made HUGE STRIDES in calming him and getting him to follow leadership... as long as the environment is calm and no one/ nothing is around. Realistically... that's not the world we live in, so today we TURNED UP THE HEAT and purposely brought another dog into Tobi's field of vision. Logan (photo 2, chief training dog for Team PitaFull Dog Training & Rehabilitation) is trained to absorb/ not respond to aggression or excited energy during training other dogs.
Tobi was REALLY having issues with Logan, other people and dogs walking by, cars driving by, etc. One of our hail-mary's is the audible response to an electric taser. To a dog, the sound of a taser is SCARY and foreign and tends to (behaviorally) slam on the brakes.
It did, Tobi followed suite.
HUGE BREAK THRU... The calm dog after the taser sound was capable of remaining calm long enough to take a treat within 6ft of another dog eating a treat.
Tobi and his mom/ dad will practice for a couple weeks and we'll finish up training.
Logan went home and got a pork chop dinner for his time/ effort.

-Attacked another dog in the elevator in their building
-Lunging at other dogs, multiple offense(s)
-Bit her new mom 2x's
-Knocked her mom down on walk, multiple offense(s)
-Building Management not happy
-Leiah hasn't even been in her new home 7 days

We did a looong 2 hour assessment, we learned some quick manners for now, some quick instructions for mom, and all is right in Denver this afternoon.
We begin training on Friday.
