Northeast is a non-profit Community Action Agency established in 1965 and is proud to say that we are making a difference in the lives of individuals and families in our service area. Operating over 15 programs, our goal is not only to provide income eligible individuals and families with services, but to provide them with the assistance they need to obtain self-sufficiency. ograms, we offer a range of services to ensure the needs of individuals, families and communities are met. Programs provided my NKCAA include: Community Service Block Grant, Liheap, Winter-care, Carter County Community Services for Help Program, Rural Transportation, Workforce Investment Act, Head Start, Weatherization, Lonnie M. Click & Owen Fielding Memorial Scholarships, Community Collaboration for Children, Housing Rehabilitation, Northeast Catering.
