Pawsific NorthWest Cat Cafe will be partnering with the Lacey Timberland Library to bring "Reading with Cats" for kids ages 6-11, starting Thursday, September 12th. โค๏ธ

We are super excited to host this and plan to do it once every month, if all goes well.

Registration is through the Timberland library website.

Fun fact about me, I'm Finnish! Today is Finland's Independence Day ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ For those of you who don't know, I'll start from the beginning:

In a nutshell, Finland was given to Russia by Sweden after a war on 1808. The Russian rule lasted until Imperial Russia was faced with the Bolshevik revolution of 1917. Finland saw its opportunity to negotiate sovereign independence with Russian leaders. The Finnish parliament sealed the deal two days later, and thatโ€™s why the Independence Day in Finland is celebrated on December 6th.

Finns donโ€™t only look up to this event on Independence Day. This is also the day when we take time to honor the events of World War 2 when Finland almost lost its independence. December 6th is a very patriotic day!
