Short-eared Owls 5, Rosalind 2. Finally some Owls. It was cold and windy but very satisfying. Let me know in the comments which ones I should print.

I waited patiently for the kingfisher to get closer
I went to McLane Creek Nature Trail this morning. It is the start of flying duck season. The lighting was great and the kingfisher even came to visit. Here is a short wood duck video. More videos and pictures to come.
Waiting for the tide.

I have decided to create a series of short videos where I describe photos I have taken. I am calling the series, "Travels with Rosalind." The first video describes a galapagos sealion pup.
You can see this and more of my work by visiting me at the Wedgewood Art Festival on July8-9.
Hours: Saturday 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm
Location: 3544 NE 89th St, Seattle, WA 98115

I am experimenting with making different types of videos. Usually I video a location where I am taking pictures. This time, I thought I would share my process of turning the photos into a product. Here, I am making ceramic tiles for the Wedgewood Art Festival next weekend.
I went out to Nisqually the other day looking for signs of spring. It was a gray day with lots of sprinkles as days tend to be here in the Pacific Northwest. At the end of the walk I came upon two juvenile bald eagles attempting to hunt for ducks. Here is a little bit of the footage I shot.

I went out to Nisqually this morning and my friend turned me on to photographing mosses and lichens. There's a whole miniature world on the wooden handrails. Here's a very short video.
