Large dogs need to be in the designated large dog park & small dogs in their own designated area.

Posted dog park rules outline the guidelines for each park.

SAFE FOODS TO FEED YOUR DOG AT THANKSGIVING
Potatoes (sweet and white)
Apples Turkey meat (no bones or skin) Green beans
Peas
Pumpkin
UNSAFE FOODS TO FEED YOUR DOG AT THANKSGIVING
Turkey bones, skin, and gravy
Stuffing
Casseroles
Butter, sour cream, salt, or pepper Creamed peas
Chocolate, cookies, pies, and sweets
Alcoholic beverages
Raisins and grapes Onions, scallions, and garlic
Ham
Yeast dough
Fatty foods Foods containing spices

The Community Dog Park Group is a volunteer group of dog lovers who are committed to ensuring the ongoing success and public enjoyment of the Neahwa Dog Park. While we are not affiliated with the City of Oneonta, we have partnered with the City since the creation of this dog park in 2021, and work closely with City parks administration to exchange ideas, feedback, concerns, etc. We serve to engage the dog park community in various ways, including but not limited to: educating dog owners about the dog park rules, organizing Spring and Fall dog park cleanup days, etc.
