PLEASE NOTE ALL VISITS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED. Located in Oneonta, New York, Legacy Labs was developed seven years ago by us, Bill and Pam Baker, shortly before we experienced the birth of our first litter of puppies. The business quickly took off from there. However, its inception began many years ago with Pam's very first lab, a yellow by the name of Harley.

The only male in a household of mothe

r and two young daughters, Harley was an integral part of the family for years before it was discovered he was sick. He passed at the age of 8, just weeks before his 9th birthday.

Though Harley saw the introduction of several other dogs into the brood, he always held a special place in everyone's hearts. We honor him now and celebrate his legacy by helping families just like ours find their own special canine addition. We are small breeders and work with only those dogs who meet the high standards of the breed. Our dogs are AKC registered, OFA certified for hips and elbows, and are cleared for EIC (exercise induced collapse). We work toward the improvement of the Labrador Retriever. Our dogs are raised on 30+ acres of woods, fields and streams and have access to all of these areas for work and play. Our kennels are new, and we are very proud of these facilities. Harley's Legacy Labs is not a hobby, it is a business that has grown out of our love for the breed. We strive to produce dogs who will become as important to your family as they are to ours.

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our Remi-girl. Remi, at 13 1/2 was the last of our original dogs. She was the first mommy dog, the original Weber Grill destroyer, the dog-dini who said “fence, watch this” and scaled it like it was nothing and escaped. Remi rolled any crate that she was in but yet was a gentle soul. There is such a hole in my heart right now but knowing that her girls Jada and Tikka and her boy Gibbs will carry on makes it a little easier. Run free Remi and be with Gus and Finn. We love you!

Our sweet girl Janie! Janie has been the greatest mommy but as she has gotten older it has become too stressful for her to be around our other female dogs. We are looking to find a home for Janie where she will be the only female dog. Janie gets along with (neutered) males and feels the need to chase cats.
Janie is amazing with children!
Janie is UTD on shots, spayed and received a clean bill of health at her yearly check up today.

This is a little on the long side but it’s very very important to understand why children should not sit on dogs.

We've all seen the "adorable" photos and videos of kids sitting on, bear hugging, and grabbing the family dog. I must admit, I'm guilty of smiling and "liking" a few of these seemingly harmless pics online. Most of us don't immediately wonder...

At 12.5 years old Remi STILL heads right to the stream. Remi is very stiff legged and breathes heavily after exertion but bless her she looooves the water!!

Update: He has been sold!

Available! This sweet boy has become available due to unforeseen circumstances. He is dewormed dedew clawed cleared from common Labrador diseases, parents are OFA certified. This sweet puppy will receive his first shots and health certificate next week. He will be ready on 6/9/23 to go to his furever home.

The luck of the Irish ☘️will bring chocolate and silver puppies from Rory and Gibbs the first week of May.
Our puppies are AKC registered and have been genetically cleared for common Labrador diseases. Their parents are OFA certified for hips and elbows. Our puppies have their dew claws removed and are dewormed at weeks 2, 4 and 6, will receive their Health Certification and first shots.

We are pleased to announce that Janie and Steel are expecting a litter of charcoal, silver and yellow puppies on 4/18/23.
Janie and Steel are OFA certified for hips/elbows, genetically cleared for common Labrador diseases.
Puppies will be de-dew clawed, dewormed, will receive their first shots and health certificates as well as AKC registered.

Harley's Legacy Labs Gibbs has some news for you! He has bred with Bordingers Sayde and it looks as if puppies are due around January 22, 2023! Gibbs and Sayde are both OFA certified for hips and elbows as well as genetically cleared for common Labrador diseases. Sayde is a brindle lab and Gibbs carries the brindle gene so this litter will be chocolate and brindle.
