In honor of National Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day… we wanted to share some photos of our memorial garden here at the Barkmore.
When a pup from the Barkmore family crosses the rainbow bridge, our staff paints a rock with their name on it and sets it in the garden. We encourage our customers to visit our garden and always welcome items that we can remember your pup by. 🌈 🐾

Marie has been with the Barkmore for over 7 years! She greets everyone with a smile on her face and always puts our pet parents at ease when leaving their pups with us. Marie is a retired nurse originally from Knoxville. She loves spending time with her family and has 3 pups; Kate, Sache and Lacey!

Our Pet(s) of the Month for July are Max and Niko!
Max and Niko have been long time boarding customers here at the Barkmore. They are both adorable Papillons who love to get treats and snuggles form our staff. They enjoy sitting in the laps of our staff members and are always giving the best cuddles. We love seeing how inseparable these boys are.

Top Knot is known for their all natural dog treats. They are made with human grade, locally sourced ingredients and never any sugars, fillers, harmful preservatives or artificial flavors!
These treats are great for dogs with food allergies, skin allergies, sensitive stomachs and more!
We will be selling $5 small treat bags and $10 large treats bags beginning next Thursday!

We often get asked what a Meet & Greet consist of or looks like…Exactly like this! 😁 -We determine which group the pup will be in by size & temperament. -We introduce them to only a small group of dogs so it does not overwhelm them. -They are closely supervised by a kennel tech the whole time. -We keep a close eye on body language. Ex: Growling, Snarling, tucked tail, hiding in the corner, snapping, excessive barking. -We give the dog their space! Ex: Not letting the other dogs crowd the new pup. -The pups & the kennel tech allow the new pup to get comfortable on their own.
