It is with a great deal of sorrow and a shattered heart that I tell you that my sweet Milli traveled to the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, October 20. A huge amount of gratefulness and thanks go to Dr. Sara Ryan Fletcher for helping me help Milli become another of God's most precious angels. On Saturday evening, Milli was fine. On Sunday morning, she could not stand, walk, or even move. She would not eat, she could not even open her mouth. Her condition got worse during the day. I wrapped her in her blankies and snuggled with her and rocked her. My brain knew what was happening, at the same time, my heart was screaming "no, no, no"... I called Dr. Sara and she did not hesitate to tell me to bring her to her mobile clinic - thankfully, she's right down the street from me. In the short time it took me to get there, Milli was completely non-responsive - not even the tiniest neurological response. She was suffering from sepsis. Dr. Sara was so very compassionate and loving, all the while being so professional. I'll probably never be able thank you enough.
Milli was a special needs sweetheart. She was a hermaphrodite. She had chronic bladder infections. Whether this special condition is what took her, I do not know. I do know that she is now a perfectly healthy, beautiful angel. I loved her so much and I miss her terribly.
