Hi, I’m Peter Mahar, the guy behind the camera. I have 5 beautiful boys and am often told I have my hands full. I believe in documenting real stories with the future generations in mind. The old Life magazine photos are plastered all over my studio walls for inspiration to remind me it’s the important moments in life that are remembered. Not the staged and beautiful and “perfect.” It’s real life that’s beautiful to me. It’s messy, flawed, hard, and sometimes very difficult to keep going, but life is beautiful. When we look back at old memories we are reminded what’s actually important. This is what I do and feel very blessed to be able to do it.

The number one thing I focus on with people that don’t like getting their photo taken is asking lots of questions about their story. And casually take photos in between. After about 5 min they forget about the camera and it’s just us having a conversation. You will notice him moving his hands around. This also helps me learn what’s important to them and what to focus on with the portraits. This is similar to how I approach my documentary wedding photography.

I’m calling it an “exit interview”, where traditionally an employee leaves feedback for the organization, it’s to help the organization gain insight from a leaving worker who has less to lose by speaking openly about their experience.

Also anyone interested in me doing a IG live where I do an “exit” interview and tell you why I’m quitting? You can also ask your questions.
Also Some of the red monsters on my site right now are the holdbacks that I had planned to breed next year. If you have been breeding very long you know how many dragons you should have to go through before ending up with the best dragons for your breeding program. These dragons are extra special to me!

A really beautiful and one of a kind dragon in his clutch. Just sheded his back and his head and tail are in shed. He is also loaded with amazing genetics for a ton of potential different breeding projects. He is a hypo high-quality leather, and het for zero and het for wits, and a possible het trans! Eating great and growing amazing. Parents at the end.

I wanted to say thank you! I’m officially letting people know this is my last year breeding. It’s been a crazy long and hard decision to make, it’s been an amazing ride and I can’t thank you all enough for your support and help. One of my hopes with breeding and starting this page and my website was to help educate others with dragon care. Not many breeders when I started were very helpful and I wanted to be a positive voice in the hobby. I’m excited to see so many more positive voices in the hobby than when I started. All that to say, I’m starting to release my holdbacks and some of my best breeders. As always please check out our website directly under available dragons. I will keep posting until we have sold everything. Still thinking it will be another 3-6 months or so. Still have some epic dragons for our mystery box dragons if you’re needing some wholesale.

How cool is the patterning on this dragon, this is a het wero baby!

Just posted some of these babies on our site! One of the dragons is a Blue bars, citrus, 1/2 red monster, het wero, this is one of those guys that has it all going for him! Absolutely stunning dragon with tons of amazing genetics, could make for a killer male to have for a variety of breeding projects! Parents are pictured at the beginning.

Hatch July 11th, and already at shipping weight, these guys are strong!
