🌟 Tough Topics in a Safe Space is back! 🌟

Jake & Cooper’s Bark Park invites you to join us for the third year of open, community-centered discussions. This month’s focus is one that could truly save lives:

💉 Narcan/CPR Training
📅 Wednesday, September 17
🕖 7:00 – 8:00 PM
📍 Eastern Community YMCA, 2960 Pickle Road, Oregon, OH

Guest speaker Kelly Stoudinger, Medic with Sandusky County EMS, will guide us through how to recognize an opioid overdose, administer Narcan, and perform CPR. These are skills that could mean the difference between life and death.

👉 Members & non-members welcome (YMCA non-members, please bring photo ID).
👉 CPR cards available for a small $27 administrative fee for those seeking certification.
👉 Please note: pups will need to stay home for this event.

Hi everyone,

Good news! While work is still underway on the pavilion, we’re opening Jake & Cooper’s Bark Park for member use this weekend.

Open hours:
Friday, August 29 at 6:00 PM through Tuesday, September 2 at 8:00 AM
After 8:00 AM on Tuesday (9/2), the park will close again so the construction crew can finish up. We expect pavilion work to wrap up early next week.

A few quick notes:

Please avoid all signed/cordoned construction areas for your safety and the crew’s.

Keep an eye on your pups and clean up promptly so the site stays tidy for everyone.

Watch our email, Facebook, and on-site signage for any last-minute updates.

Thank you for your patience and support as we complete this improvement. We can’t wait to celebrate the finished pavilion with you!

We’re excited to share that Jake & Cooper’s Bark Park will be walking in the 2025 Toledo Pride Festival — and we want YOU to join us!

📅 Date: Saturday, August 16th
⏰ Line-Up Time: 9:30 AM
📍 Location: Toledo Pride Parade

We’re looking for 15-20 proud, pet-loving people to walk with us as we celebrate love, inclusivity, and our amazing Bark Park community! The deadline to sign up to walk is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 6 by 6 p.m.

Whether you're a longtime member or just joined the pack — come walk with us, show your pride, and represent the best dog park around. 💜🐶✨

BIG THINGS are underway at our Jake & Cooper’s Bark Park and we couldn’t be more excited to share all of this amazing news!

- Thanks to our incredible partners, A. A. Boos & Sons, Inc. and E.S. Wagner Company, the Pavilion we’ve been dreaming about has finally broken ground (and beyond!) We’ll still need a roof to go along with this wonderful foundation and uprights, so stay tuned for opportunities to help us “Raise the Woof” and see our Pavilion completed.

-The JCBP Board of Directors would like to welcome Lance Wilkerson to the Board. Lance is the Donor Relations Director for ProMedica Bay Park Hospital & ProMedica Flower Hospital by day and we are honored to have him on the JCBP team.

We couldn’t be doing any of this without the love and support of all of YOU. Thank you for being our partners in this righteous endeavor and we hope to see y’all out at the bark park soon.

Dear Members,

We wanted to inform you that starting tomorrow at 8:00 a.m., Jake & Cooper’s Bark Park will be closed until further notice as construction begins on our new pavilion.

We’re excited about this addition to the park and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our space for you and your pups. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on our progress and let you know as soon as the park is ready to reopen.

As summer hits full stride and our calendars are filling up fast, we wanted to give our faithful a heads up on another way to help us reach the finish line on our coming Pavilion.

Join us one month from tomorrow at Toledo Pride where our fabulous friends from Focaccia's 419 will be donating portions of their sales from Paws & Prosecco to our beautifully blooming cause!

5% of every dollar spent for breakfast, brunch, and lunch helps us improve the bark park and continue our mission of a refuge not only for dogs, but for the humans that call them family and their mental wellbeing. We’ll see you at Toledo Pride soon and thank y’all for continuing to keep the Schaffer’s dream thriving.
