Light Sussex and Bielefelder chicks!

This group was born this morning and I have some from last week as well.

The light Sussex is a straight run but the Bielefelders are auto sexing from day one.

Piglets piglets piglets!!!
Have some ready now and others a few weeks out with more mamas to farrow soon as well!

These little ones are
75% Berkshire
With some duroc/yorkshire and Poland China making up the rest

Great tasting pigs! The Berkshire flavor is our personal favorite!

Currently ready we have
Born april 10th
3 gilts
3 barrows

Born May 15th (ready in a few weeks)
4 gilts
2 barrows

More born May 17th with 50% Berkshire but I don’t have photos yet, post to come
With more set to farrow in a week and month

More piglets being held back to raise out to butcher weights. If interested in us raising out a hog. Let us know!!

Light Sussex chicks coming soon!
The chicks pictured are all spoken for but I have a batch hatching in 8 days and last night I just set another incubator with more to come
This breed is a heritage dual purpose chicken and one of the sweetest birds! They joined my flock last year and I think they have taken top spot on my favorites list haha.

This is a very sweet and docile breed which makes them perfect for a family farm.

Our first hatch of the 2025 season just went into lockdown.
I get so excited at this stage and start talking to the baby chicks growing inside!
We will be hatching AMAZING Beilefelder chicks about every 3 weeks. This is an autosexing breed so we will know hens and # of roosters in each hatch.
We have a growing wait list so if you want this docile dual- purpose chicken who lays XL to XXL eggs, get your name in quick!

Bielefelder chicks hatching soon!

The Bielefelder breed is a dual purpose heritage breed with auto sexing abilities. That means from day one you know if it’s a hen or roo.

Pm us for more info or to request what you want. We already have some orders in for hens.

I will have another incubator full starting tomorrow.

Oranges look good this week.
We have quite a bit of orders already in.

Only 8 10lb bags are available for Saturday pick up in Anderson and Red Bluff.

Hurry and get your orders in as they will sell out quickly.

Thank you to all our wonderful orange customers for being so understanding this week.
The storm knocked about 80 lb of oranges to the ground. We don’t sell these as they bruise in the fall.
The cows are enjoying some and we are busy tonight juicing lots of oranges to freeze to enjoy this summer!
Next week we expect a nice harvest!
