These guys are the work engine behind our sweet orange harvest, although they don’t know it. They think they get to occasionally come into the orange field to eat the lush grass and dream of when the oranges are ripe so the can eat the low growing ones, or the oranges that fall to the ground.
What they don’t realize is that we love our give and take relationship with them. We give them delicious fresh grass and they leave us 💩to fertilize the trees!
We can’t wait for orange season, can you?!

So I don’t normally grow attached to my baby rabbits as they do eventually end up in the freezer. However, this little guy is so sweet I really don’t want to do that.
If anyone is interested in a pet rabbit for the kids, let me know and I will give him to you.

Late summer is not typically the time you think about getting baby chicks, we’ve all been conditioned to get our new chickens in the Spring.
Getting your chickens now and letting them grow up over winter will give you laying hens come spring. So, when Spring comes and those around you will just be starting to raise chicks, and you will already be getting eggs!
We have another batch of Bielefelder chicks hatching this weekend if you’re looking for quantity of a quality breed!

Chicks were born August 11th.

These are Bielefelder chicks however one of my hens is a silver Bielefelder so some of the chicks might have silver in them.

The yellow chicks are Bresse.

When new life is born on the ranch we ooh and aah over the cuteness. But, when our dairy cow has a calf, it’s like a new
member of the family was born.
This little fella was born yesterday and we couldn’t be more happy! He’s a Jersey/White Park cross.
Give him some love!

The rabbit is ready!

We have 12 and 16 week old rabbits vacuumed sealed and ready to go.

We personally like to inject the meat and put it on the bbq. The left over bones make a really good bone broth as well!!

New litter of 12 piglets this morning!

If you are interested in a pure Berkshire piglet let us know and we can reserve one for you.

We also still barrows available that are weened and ready to leave the ranch. The barrows are 50% Berkshire and the rest is a durock/Yorkshire mix.

If you want us to raise one out for you, we can do that too!
