Hi my name.is Merlin. I live in Orlando with my big Sister Belle the Golden Retriever. I was born in July of 2016 and weigh 44lbs and am almost 2 feet long. I'm an African spurred tortoise (Centrochelys sulcata), also called the sulcata tortoise, and am a species of tortoise originally inhabiting the southern edge of the Sahara desert in Africa. Im the largest mainland species of tortoise in the world, and the third-largest in the world. I'm the last remaining species in my genus, Centrochelys, with the five other species in the family already extinct.
