Winston, Lacey and Sylvie visited on Thursday with the dispatch office!! These therapy dogs offer significant emotional support and stress relief to emergency workers 💜 Just a little time petting the dogs can help them cope with the psychological toll of their demanding jobs💜 Thank you Erin for arranging our visit!

Freyja and Mindy got to preview the movable Vietnam Wall when they visited the VA Hospital Lake Nona on Tuesday. The Wall often brings veterans to tears as they find their lost friends' names and take a moment to remember. There is a Vietnam Veterans Remembrance Ceremony on Friday that we will be attending. We hung out by the Wall for a bit before we went to the mental health unit. The dogs bring people to a calm state in the mental health unit and remind them to live in the moment. We have been told that at times our visits change their life trajectory. What a gift the dogs bring to our heroes.

Keltie, Lily, Freyja, Lacey and Sylvie visited with the Orlando City Soccer Office today! ⚽️ These wonderful therapy dog’s visits lessen the stress for the employees! Of course the dogs love the attention 💜 But they didn’t see Kingston.

Sparky, Lacey and Sylvie made it in time for happy hour and the entertainment!!! Awesome singer and the dogs watched as she sang songs! The residents clapped with the music while visiting with the pups! When the singer left, the dogs got ALL the attention! 💜

Lacey and Sylvie visited in memory care today! We sat in their “living room” and visited with the residents and the memory care staff! One man had potato chips and thought the dogs deserved a treat! He grabbed a handful of chips and threw them at the dogs 😳 Lacey and Sylvie didn’t move!! 🤣maybe they were shocked someone threw stuff at them! GREAT visit in spite of the chips! 💜

Basil, Daisy, Jora, Freyja, and Mindy had a fantastic visit with the residents in the VA's Community Living Center (CLC) in Lake Nona on Thursday afternoon. Both the residents and the pups were engaging and eager to share some love. The CLC is home to many veterans who live in one of four different neighborhoods supporting spinal cord injury, hospice needs, rehab, and memory care. They just love the dogs and are regularly moved to tears just interacting with them. I think the dogs and their handlers get as much out of the experience as the residents. We will be starting some weekend visits into the hospital's mental health units on the weekend so if you are interested in that, please let me know! I am hoping to have a weekend team and a weekday team!

Kenzie and Mindy made a home visit to one of the Kairos Adventures homebound participants. When they do a show, this artist is often participating on line with video with the rest of the group! She was all smiles to see her friends and the dogs🐾🥰.

Kelley and Sylvie welcomed Kirra to Pathways to Care on Tuesday morning. The residents were excited to see a new dog and she did a wonderful job giving puppy love to everyone!

Kacey, Lacey, Belle, Jack, Ollie and Sylvie brought lots of St. Patrick’s Day smiles!! We handed out cookies and told stories. The residents loved spending time with the pups and handlers 💜💜

Freyja representing Comfort Canines Central Florida with her buddy Denver had an amazing time greeting kids at Give Kids the World Village this morning. She even got a few photos with Mickey.

For those that don’t know Give Kids the World Village is part of Make a Wish Foundation. It’s where families whose wish is to visit Disney or Universal theme parks stay.

Hattie and Mindy started the day spreading some St. Patrick's Day love with the artists at Mephibo's House at Northland Church. I am not sure Mindy was happy with her decorations but we all spent the hour laughing and posing with those who dressed up for the day! Hattie was making some progress with a newer participant who was super shy - but who can resist Hattie's smile??
