At long last, Frenzy is confirmed pregnant by ultrasound.

The intention was to breed her to my beautiful boy, Olias, but since that was no longer possible, my good friend Mark worked with me to get Arlo, Olias' brother, whom I co-own, to me for a breeding with Frenzy. We're thrilled!

If you have contacted me about a puppy in the past year, (I'm talking to you, previous Shadowmyst owners! 😁) email me to confirm you are still interested!

This litter will be blacks and chocolates.

We're hoping to get back to the roots of my dual purpose line for some good looking, intelligent dogs with some solid natural ability. This will be a copy of the same pedigree behind my Olias x Sliver litter 3 years ago (a line breeding on Bolo) which produced some really nice dogs (including Shatter), several of which are titled and competing in performance events.

Litter due April 26th.

Shadowmyst dogs doing what they were bred to do. This is Keena, a litter sister to Shatter. She had a great day showing off her natural ability as well as the great training relationship she has developed with her owner.

Working relationship ALL the time!

I want my dogs, your dogs, to want to engage in personal connection through experiences, play, treats, physical contact, praise, etc, not matter the environment or distractions.

Yay! Elphaba surprised us today with Winners and Best Opposite S*x at the Fort Dodge show for her first point! Big Thanks to Caitlyn for taking her in the ring and to Shannon for getting up at O’dark 30 to get her up there!
Elph just turned 9 months.
Still a bit of the awkward stage but excited to see what she can do in the ring.

Please join me in wishing a big bunch of Good Luck to Amy Straate and Ziva as they head to the Rally Nationals this weekend. I believe this event will be televised on AKC TV so you might even be able to watch her compete!

Ziva is a sister to my Shatter out of my Olias x Sliver litter. They are 2 years old. Ziva was the only chocolate.

This was a stellar litter of amazing working dogs. So smart and biddable. There are several dogs from this litter doing competitive events!

From 10 years ago.

These dogs are all gone now, but were some of the best dogs I ever had. Ace was a Champion (4 Majors/1 at a specialty and a group placement), Junior Hunter and had his NAHRA Started and Hunter titles and would have loved a trick title. He had SO much fun. No matter what he was doing. Sire of Zeppelin who is still here, and Jynx.

Jynx was Ace's daughter and had a ton of talent mitigated by her mom's often backwards ways but still attained a Started title and many memories of her chewing or plucking the bird 5 yards from the line and stealthily bringing a live duck into the house to pluck and chase and generally torture. But sometimes, sometimes she was dead on for tests and marked phenomenal lines through super tall grass.

And Indigo.... What can I say? Dam of Zeppelin and Moon. Started, Hunter and Junior titles but most of all, Best. Dog. Ever. 'Everyone' loved Indigo. She was just...cool. She had her s**t together. She was teaching me that she could do doubles at 12 weeks old. She was so connected to me right from the start. She had intuition and the ability to read me so well, I don't even have words to describe it. Had so many judges comment on her looks and abilities in the field. Keith Stroyan even called her a near perfect dog. Yes she was. She earned her nickname, PG. My Perfect Girl. There will never be another.

These dogs are gone but SO near my heart. God I miss them so much.

But like all good dogs, they live on if we just keep remembering them. Don't ever forget your good dogs. They lived their WHOLE lives for you. Take time to remember them. 💛💛💛
