Zeus 💛
The most handsome Rottweiler mix who has had ZERO intresest. He loves to run, chew on bones, or play tug-of-war! He enjoys chasing butterflies and is always smiling 😄 Here’s the facts about Zeusy 😍
❌ NO young kids or cats. Only dog is recommended!
❌ Needs space to run so a fence is recommended but not required.
❌ Crate trained, potty trained, has basic obedience, and decent leash skills. Future training recommended. He thrives with structure!
❌ TOUGH chewer. Hard, strung toys is REQUIRED!
❌ Has boundaries around his space. He keeps a crystal clean kennel but is protective of it. Especially his food!
❌ He’s the best boy who will be someone’s best friend. He’s a medium energy, smart, handsome hunk 😍

In the last 7 days, DCHS has received 33 new cats. Yes, you read that right: 33 new cats in 7 days--and 17 in one day alone! 😱

Some of these cats were found wandering the streets (likely someone's indoor/outdoor cats), some are kittens without mothers, and some are from Dunn County's growing population of undomesticated cats.
Added to the numerous surrender inquiries we receive each day, this influx of feline friends means that we find ourselves in need of your help!

A message was sent to us tonight that this dog has been spotted for a few days running near York on County Road G. It has not been able to be caught yet. Hopefully the owner sees this and is able to catch their dog. Technically the dog has been spotted in Jackson County, but we still want to share.

,📣 TCHS is hiring a weekend kennel assistant 📣

Job Responsibilities:
🐾 Feed, walk, and care for dogs
🐾 Perform light cleaning tasks (laundry, dishes, etc.) as needed
🐾 Clean inside and/or outside dog kennels
🐾 Clean cat litter boxes and kennels
🐾 Administrator meds as needed
🐾 Play and interact with the pets!!!

Position Details:
🦴 16-20 hours every other weekend, spread among four shifts
🦴 The morning shifts start between 7 and 8 a.m. and the evening shifts between 5 and 6 p.m. to keep the dogs on the same feeding schedule
🦴 $13/hour pay

Job Requirements:
🔹Be 18 years of age or older
🔹 Be reliable (our pets depend on you!) with personal transportation
🔹 Be comfortable working with both cats and dogs

Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick…😍😍🎾 Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless hours of fetch would be her DREAM! 🥰🥰 Luna (female) is a 3 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition (plus some thyroid levels that caused hair loss) and needed some medication/maintenance + lots of love! Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! She has been shown the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love! 🙌🏼

✅ 100% potty-trained
✅ crate-trained
✅ a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!
✅ LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? 😎)
✅ will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!

✅ would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her! 🎾
✅ continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!

➡️ A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!
➡️ Must be the only dog in the home.
➡️ She has been around kiddos as young as 5 years and done well, so would do just fine with older children/teenagers!
