If Kris Fuhr and Sara Obstarcyzk have sold some of the 9 dogs they stole from our Charity and kept some for themselves, violating the Supreme Court orders, don’t you think our rescue should be given the names and contact info for all of the people that have our stolen dogs?

These Foster’s who are NOT A RESCUE, want to control our process of adopting our dogs, selling our dogs and giving our dogs away AFTER STEALING THEM!!!!

WE WANT JUSTICE FOR OUR 9 INNOCENT DOGS USED AS PAWNS FOR A COUPLE WE BELIEVE ARE NOT RIGHT IN EVERY CAPACITY.

THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS STEALING AND SELLING DOGS THAT THEY KNOW BELONG TO A RESCUE.

For the first time in a week, she sleeps, deeper.
For the first time in a week, her belly is full.
For the first time in a week, I have found the food she will eat.

Emaciated, traumatized, abandoned alone, tied to a tree in the Bronx, Roxie would have been another victim of our notoriously overwhelmed shelter system in NY but instead, she’s SAFE.

She knows love, she is learning to trust that humans will come back for her and humans will not be cruel to her. She has gotten all of her basic vetting but Roxie needs more…..

She has an appointment to be spayed in Feb and I have about 1 month to get her from 35lbs to 45lbs. All she will eat is a few pieces of meat, an occasional 1/4 cup of dry but what she loves is Stella and Chewys beef patties.

She will eat 3.5 per meal. That’s HUGE!

We can get her to her weight goal as long as she continues to cooperate and enjoy eating, something we haven’t seen much of until she ate her first beef patty. It’s not forever but we have to get her used to eating regularly again.

Roxie could use a safe and loving foster home or adopted home but first we need to get her eating regularly.

I’ve come to the realization that something I once started in efforts to help dogs in need has hurt me tremendously. I’ve learned the ONLY reason that I am in rescue is for the dogs. Doing anything a dog needs is easy. I can sacrifice for any 4 legged mush ball any day of the week.

Supporting people that love and care for those dogs is something I have to work at every day. Communication, patience and understanding with humans for the good of dogs is something I am willing to do.

What I am NOT willing to do is go along with any lying, cheating, stealing scum that wants to pretend that stealing dogs from a rescue is something they will ever erase or get away with.

$5 Friday
We are starting a bit early today because we spay and neuter every dog we can before they come to NY on transport. Sometimes we cannot get an appointment in time like in the case of Tootsie and Louie. We also take Local surrenders such as Laverne and Shirley and puppies grow of age while in foster homes like Holly and Dexter.

4 alone are getting spayed and neutered this week. Then we have Sarge and Roxie who were abandoned in NY last weekend, once ready they will be spayed and neutered,

DOGS CAN WAIT MONTHS, EVEN YEARS TO BE ADOPTED
Those additional medical expenses make it hard to survive as a small rescue.

Todays ask is to help cover these costs of surgeries, vaccines and diagnostic testing our dogs need while they wait to be adopted.

Our hearts and souls are poured into the dogs we save, we love and we adopt to responsible,
Loving families.

Brinkley has had quite a journey and being 4 yrs young and starting over life’s not easy, add to it her being a shy girl. Her new family has committed to keeping her socialized and helping her build the confidence she once had.

She was likely abused in Alabama and is the nicest dog but understanding how to reverse the damage and help her understand that human touch = kindness will take months and possibly years.

Her family knows this and is committed to giving her a life she couldn’t have dreamt of.

Happy life my beautiful girl. A small piece of my heart left with you. Thank you to everyone involved in helping Brinkley and getting her to where she is today. I’m certainly not alone in this journey.

My name is Lisa Smith. I am the President of this Rescue. I founded A Good Dog Rescue in October 2018. I had no idea my husband would begin his double life with a hidden family the same exact month and year with a coworker who knew from day one he is a married father of 2 beautiful, healthy girls.

To say we were betrayed is minimizing my loyalty for 33 years and the innocence of our family.
I was in Radiation for Breast Cancer and would later find out it didn’t work and neither did my chemo.

I filed for divorce immediately and shut down my business of 20 plus years. Having zero income I was now fighting for everything but most importantly my family which includes my animals.

I started a new business, fought the divorce and won, settled and kept my children and pets in our family home that I own myself.

I wish I could say I fought Cancer and won. I fought. I still fight.

Shortly after I settled, this foster couple Sara Obstarcyzk and Kris Fuhr stole our 9 foster dogs lily and her puppies. They took my dogs against my will and without my permission. I have been shocked, horrified and heartbroken every single day since 3/13/25. They left town and hid my dogs and began a campaign to attack our small rescue since then.

I know I am a fighter, but that doesn’t mean I want to fight. A few rescues reached out and support us still, understanding how critical it is that our stolen dogs are returned and that we seek JUSTICE for our innocent dogs.

How many dogs are stolen every single day? Too many. Are they being used to fight? Breed? Profit? Stolen and sold for spite? Vindictiveness, entitlement, some sick and twisted fun, spite, torture?

Sara and Kris have REFUSED to even show us a PROOF OF LIFE PICTURE and have told us they will drag this out as long as possible. At First we could not figure out why this felt so twisted but not long after came demands for $$$$$$, money we don’t have, money we should not have to pay alleged terrorists that terrorize my dreams at night and my peace during the day.

I’m still fighting to stay alive with hopes to be able to see my future grandchildren and the growth of my children.

I’m fighting for YOU too. I want to be the change I want to see in this world and in my world criminals go to jail and pay for what they do to hurt others. Imagine all of the people that know, the people that put in false statements on behalf of alleged criminals?

It’s a sick world and every day I make the choice to survive but I don’t just want to survive. I want to live.

Cici is 1 yr and 40lbs. She’s soft to the touch, like velvet. She’s incredible. She loves everyone and everything. She trusts you with all of her ❤️

How did she ever survive a kill shelter?

Cinco gets even cuter.

Cinco left Texas with a dream. His family in Texas fell on financial hard times and his rescue didn’t think he stood a chance getting re adopted in a State rampant with unwanted dogs.

Cinco is Special with a capital S! He absolutely loooves dogs of all sizes except is afraid of XXL dogs 120 and up about. He will simply bark and run away from them but has learned how to coexist.

He’s a clumsy, quirky, silly dog that will definitely add some laughter to your home. He’s loves getting dressed up, car rides, snuggles and all people!! He was afraid of the cat on testing and did a small bark and ran away.

His DNA test is included, he’s 2 yrs and maybe 60lbs. He is non aggressive and just wants ❤️ and maybe some direction in life.

Sara Obstarcyzk and Kris Fuhr are APPEALING our courts decision to return our dogs 7/25/25.

If you have a minute today, read the Supreme Court orders to return our dogs. They are very clear. Our foster agreement (signed) has an immediate return policy so if we have to show a dog to a potential family or attend an adoption event or for whatever reason we feel, we can come get our dogs from foster homes.

We believe they are appealing so they can continue to drain our finances, wear us out and stall the RETURN OF OUR 9 STOLEN DOGS.

IS THIS THE JUSTICE OUR DOGS DESERVE?

IS THIS THE JUSTICE OUR COMMUNITY DESERVES?

When you take who you know does not belong to you, 9 innocent dogs, and block their adoptions, hide them from their owner, sell some, keep some and tell the Judge they are all in their Forever homes after he has ordered you not to sell, give away or adopt out 9 DOGS you know have NEVER BELONGED TO SARA AND KRIS, this is what we call stealing, the selling of stolen goods and we believe criminals steal from others.
