His name was W***y. He was my first dog and he was such a wonderful dog. I showed him in 4-H for 8 years. Poodles are so smart and easy to train. We went on to win at the Ohio State Fair 5 years in a row. He was also my constant and loyal companion. I have been in love with the poodle breed ever since. I have been working with dogs my entire life. I started working with dogs as a 4-H kid, at the a
ge of nine. I got another toy poodle when I was 16 (Shelby) and began showing in conformation. Shelby was also a wonderful, sweet dog. I then worked at a Kennel as a summer job during college. I got my first Standard Poodle and First Multicolored Poodle, Toby, 12 years ago. Toby is what I would consider my "heart" dog. We have been through a lot together. He is a very special dog. This began my love for the Standard Poodles and the Multicolored Poodles. In 2015 I started my own Dog Training business Pawsitively Blessed, LLC. I also learned how to groom and started grooming dogs as well. Over the years I have gotten to work lots of different breeds of dogs. There are many wonderful breeds out there. Yet, for me the best one is the poodle. I now have three Standard Poodles. Poodles are highly intelligent, easy to train, loyal companions, and extremely versatile. You can do just about anything with a poodle. Whether you just want a nice pet, a service dog, a dog to do sports with, go hunting with, or to show. Poodles can do it all. Two years ago I got my first Show Poodle, Adelaide. I began my journey showing poodles and starting to work towards becoming a breeder. Adelaide has so many qualities that I love in a poodle. She first is a lovely poodle. She has a beautiful face, which is one of my favorite features of a poodle. She is also a love bug. I consider her my "Velcro dog" because she tries to see how close she can snuggle with you. She is very smart and quick to learn. She has earned titles in Rally One, Rally Two, and Beginner Novice Obedience. She has also received her Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Adelaide is an active dog and loves doing sports. She earned her BCAT title in FastCat. She is working on her barn hunt title and learning to do dock diving. She gets along great with other dogs and children. She has so many qualities that I love. Adelaide has earned her Grand Championship in Conformation in UKC and has passed all her health testing per CHIC standards for Poodles. Adelaide will be a great foundation poodle for Grace & Grit Poodles and I am looking forward to what the future holds. My goal for Grace & Grit Poodles is to breed quality standard poodles, focusing on excellent health, temperament, and conformation in solid and multicolors.
