We met Vikki and Talise, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, [SOMETIMES A RARE BREED~in our territory] at the Renaissance Fall Festival in Morris. Vikki signed up for a free estimate and we went from there. Now Talise cannot get in the road and can freely chase her beloved frisbee! Talise is very smart and along with Vikki & Kirk did a fantastic job in training!

They’ve been called the "most rugged retriever:" the courageous and water-loving Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a powerful gundog, renowned for their prowess in rough, icy water especially. They’re smart, with a notably bright and happy disposition, but they are also quiet and affectionately protective of their people—including the family cat—and the turf. They have a friendly, if occasionally reserved, demeanor makes them an excellent and trustworthy companion animal.
The distinctive breed trait is a thick, water-resistant double coat that's oily to the touch; it is wavy on the shoulders, neck, back, and loins, but not elsewhere. The outer coat is short and harsh, and the undercoat is dense, fine, and wooly, with an abundance of natural oil, an adaptation to working the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The oil helps keep the cold water from reaching their skin, resisting it the same way a duck's feathers do; it also helps the coat dry quickly—when the Chessie 'shakes' their coat, it does not hold water at all.

Bella is full of fun and energy! Whew 😅 you can get tired just watching her run around the open floor plan which includes the kitchen & living room….its most fun to chase the black kitty 🐈‍⬛ that is bigger than you! Winnie invested in the DogWatch Hidden Fence 9/2024. It’s a ‘family thing’ with the Talbots not only do many of them have the fence they refer people to us as well.

Bella is a Miniature Longhair Dachshund who is just a few pounds.
Information on the breed:
Miniature long-haired dachshunds are known for being loving, devoted, and strong-minded. They are also social and lively, and make good watchdogs. However, they can be standoffish with strangers and may bark or growl at them.
The Long Haired Miniature Dachshund’s origins lie in 15th Century Germany, as a dog bred to go to the ground after badgers, and their place in the Hound group is something of a translation error (‘hund’ meaning ‘dog’ and not ‘hound’). As an earth-dog, designed to go down holes and help the hunters find their prey.

IF system and now it matches his in-laws….so all systems coordinate. It just has to be Dogwatch! 😉
After three weeks of training Brody is enjoying his new freedom!

Melissa called 📞 and said she had seen signs at a couple of her neighbors and was interested in a free in home estimate. Macy & Axl are 2-pit mixes. Jonny taught Axl how to walk on the SideWalker before he started the install…which is often the case when a client gets that fabulous piece of equipment!! The SideWalker is effectively used on dogs that pull tremendously. With a humane collar that 99% of the time we just use vibrate on, the dogs stop pulling very shortly. Bob has a great system that he’s passed along to Jonny. In turn Jonny teaches the clients.
Axl & Macy were SUPERB at the pet containment training and Melissa who is so kind and easy to work with did a GREAT job with them!! Melissa and Axl love to play catch (Macy could care less) and as you can see Axl is pleased at showing off his skills!! Thanks 🙏🏻 for your business!

Introducing Leroy! What a cool name for this little man! His humans Ron & Robin were referred by Ron’s sister-in-law, Michelle who invested in the DogWatch Hidden Fence earlier this year. Great job 👏🏼 in training and so glad he’s your wonderful little companion!

Information on the popular breed: The French Bulldog has a rich and fascinating history that dates back to the 19th century. Originating in England as a toy version of the Bulldog, the toy bulldog played a significant role in the development of modern breeds. The breed was later introduced to France….and has gone from there! Today, the French Bulldog is recognized as a distinct breed by kennel clubs around the world, including the American Kennel Club (AKC). This recognition has solidified its status as a beloved and sought-after breed globally.

These intelligent working dogs and loyal companions have a strong pack instinct and bond closely with their people. That said, they tend to be reserved with strangers. Their alert personalities and nurturing instincts make them excellent family watch dogs. They are highly versatile, enjoy extended longevity and are hypoallergenic.
Freya is 2 1/4 years old easily trainable and she took a moment to warm up, however by the end her & I were best buds! Her coat is luxurious and a beautiful color!

Her mature sister, Nessa who is a West Highland Terrier {Westie} and is a spry 13 years old! I put Nessa on the R9V (vibrate) as her hearing is waning. [Our Theodore uses that also]! DogWatch is BRILLIANT w/their equipment and we love the R9V for many reasons. Elizabeth did a wonderful job with both girls and no longer has to worry about them getting into the road or being gone for hours at a clip! Appreciate your time and dedication to training!

Kenny, Beth and Tex all graduated last month. Yay👍🏼👏🏼! Tex is on the SmartFence by DogWatch. He is so fluffy & hyper all @ the same time! Tex is a mixture of Aussie & Heeler, he’s got a littermate on the system and his name is Striker and he lives on a dairy farm! Now the boys can safely play together when the occasion arises. Kenny & Beth are also going to be having obedience class with our BigLeash Remote Trainer and will be performed by Bob. Tex will be learning not to jump and recall. Thanks for your business.

Congratulations to both Ralph and Mack on completing their DogWatch hidden fence training. Mack, the Cane Corso puppy is not a fan of the cold weather whereas Ralph just loves it and you can see that with him running around freely in the yard.
