I realized I never introduced our junior herdsire, Vanjust SNL Rafiki! Rafiki dam is Vanjust LEE Jasmeet VVEE 90. She is a doe who reproduces herself over and over again. Her son Keeper has several does who finished their championship and her daughter Lahini appraised 92 and was 3rd/3rd udder at this years national show. His sire is Sublime DM Night Lights. His first freshening daughters are beautiful with one being 4th/3rd udder at nationals this year.

Rafiki is bred to 3 does this year. Check out my website for more information and to check out breedings.

Appraisal is in the books! We had a wonderful session this afternoon and I learned a lot! I felt my does were appropriately scored! You can see the scores under each picture.

Went to the Howard County fair show. Kim was Best in Show under judge Erin Griner.
Neon Sign was Grand champion AOP and that should definitely finish her.
Prickly was 1/5, Priyanka was 3/5.

Today was a hot one! Thankful for a well organized show and judges that worked through the classes quickly. Show results:
Kim K- shown in two rings and was 2x BIS
Neon Sign- 3x1st, 1xReserve
Prickly- 3x1st, 1xReserve
Rome Ants- 1x3rd
Rajah- 1x1st,1x Reserve
Reality- 1x2nd

Update: We are just outside Gary Indiana on our way to drop off some animals before heading home. Won’t make it home until sometime tomorrow. Driving through Chicago during rush hour was a nightmare but we survived. Getting gas and food and moving on.

Day 2 of our trip! We started out a little later than usual but it was hard to leave friends!!! We made it to Livingston Montana and this is our view! Thank you to Lorelei Hollock for letting us set up shop for the night.

This picture gets me choked up. This is the moment when I was taking Royce’s show collar off and putting on her purple colorama collar so she could go with her transporter. The goat on my back is her sister Reality and it was like she was consoling me as I bawled. Rolls Royce is now with her new owner and I can’t wait to see what she does for Playrite Farm!!

Sublime VN Priyanka was 10th in the yearling milker class. This doe has a lot of growing up to do but I think she’s going to get better and better as she ages.

Sublime VN Prickly Pear was 2nd place yearling milker today! She really put things together today. I’m really proud of her. She was also part of the 3rd place dam and daughter.

Sublime OBV Rolls Royce will be in the colorama sale later today! Her Dam just won the 5/6 year old class and went on to be crowned Reserve National Champion with reserve best udder! This is the second year in a row she won this honor! Kim was also the anchor for our 2nd place dairy herd!!!! Rolls Royce was the 3rd place Senior kid last night!!! Bid on Rolls Royce and bring some of that luxury into your herd!!!

Truck update: So y’all know Betty (my truck) overheated and needed treatment in Cheyenne WY. We fixed her up and she was doing fine but then we started the trek through Oregon and when we got to Burns OR, she decided it was time to say goodbye. 😞. Luckily I had Ed Jodlowski to take the goats to the facility and we towed the truck and trailer to Bend OR. The engine blew and I needed to find a new (to me) truck. Today I was able to pick up my new truck so when we leave on Friday we have reliable transportation as we journey back to the east coast! I (Jason) want to thank ALL the people who were helping me out with everything because my brain was mush with the stress of buying a truck. But the second pic is the new truck. Now to get the truck a name!!!

Her Dam, GCH Luvruc OBD Kim K 2*M EEEE 91 was the 2022 Reserve National Champion and has racked up 20 BOB wins as well as 8 Best in Show wins! Her sire is Ober-Boerd T Vance who is also a show winner!! He was shown in 3 rings and was Grand in all three as well as winning one Best IN Show!! We made it to Redmond. The girls are relaxing in some nice big pens. Now to focus on committee work.

We made it to Payette Co Fairgrounds last night around 11:30. We unloaded and milked. Today we get to just rest and relax. We will make the last part of our journey tomorrow morning!! The girls look good and hopefully will enjoy a day without having to be on the trailer.
