Duchess update! It’s getting COLD tonight and normally Duchess doesn’t get a blanket unless it’s much colder but she’s been in a stall all the time (see other videos) she doesn’t have much of a winter coat yet and isn’t naturally ready for the cold 🥶 She gets a walk every day on the dry paths between the fields, which isn’t far but we go back and forth a few times to get her muscles moving. Stay tuned for her recovery ❤️. #laminitisrecovery #gypsycobsofinstagram #hoofresection
Look at that sweet head on this colt, and the mustache coming in! Royal is our yearling Gypsy colt, available now or on payments through the spring ❤️
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁 from our piggies to yours!
Grateful for this farm and these horses, even if it means we started our holiday mucking stalls and dry lots to get them all what they needed!

He got 2nd in the Weanling/Yearling colts class, and also placed 6th in Junior Horse in hand trail! It was his first time off the farm and you wouldn’t have known—he’s very well handled and was a very well behaved boy.☑️ He has a current negative coggins and is up to date on all shots and vet visits☑️ Has old traditional Gypsy cob lines in his pedigree, including Duke of Running Winds, Nobby, The Rocking Horse, Falcon, The Bunny Mare, Shogun, and Sid’s Good Stallion. Hi all, happy Sunday! I just got done cleaning Duchess’s barn with our little guy, and we opened up both stalls for her to be moving around more. She’s 400% better than when she left for Kentucky and is walking almost sound, but has to keep limited to the barn for the most part because she is in a foot cast.
She’s been home 3 days now and the vet said she is ok to have small hand walks without tight turns, so she was out yesterday afternoon for that and some grooming, and we will do the same each day as weather permits for her. ❤️
Our yearling colt Royal (out of our mare Duchess and by the TaxMan), and our gelding Sunni❤️ #gypsycobsofinstagram

‼️ Duchess is HOME today, and here is a video to show you exactly what she had done with her hoof wall resection and foot cast afterwards, and how amazing she is moving on the way in the barn.
We are SO beyond grateful to Dr. Scott Fleming at @roodandriddle podiatry for all of his knowledge and dedication to helping her, dealing with Monique’s worried texts, and all@of the pictures and updates. We know she has a long road but from here it looks like HE SAVED our girl and we can’t possibly say thank you enough.
Apologies for the quick voiceover explanation—only have so much time to fit it into a reel! Ask all your questions and we will do our best to answer what has happened, what the vet team did, etc.
Right now she has to be stalled but she was feeling SPICY 🌶️ today and acted like she would go take a romp around the field if we let her, which hasn’t been the case in almost 5 months!!
Please follow along for updates, and thank you all for your prayers and support ❤️
