One of our clients is a Pre-Vet student at UGA. She has the opportunity to go to Zimbabwe on a trip with the vet school, but could use some help getting there. As we all know, vets are amazing and getting a bit hard to find for large animals! Allison is an animal lover of all shapes and sizes (yes, including snakes to her mom's dismay! 😂) If anyone can spare even a dollar, every bit helps!

Due to still icy roads (mine is now a sheet of ice, all uphill to get out!) we will delay our opening until 12 tomorrow, January 23, 2025. We will also be cautious and close at 5, to get the kids home safely before any potential refreezing of the roads. We appreciate everyone understanding and hope everyone stays safe!

IF we open today, it will be late, probably 2ish. I doubt we open at all though, to give the roads time to clear and people to retrieve cars from the ditches.

That being said, if you 100% NEED something and can't wait for tomorrow, email us at [email protected] and I will do my best to open for a bit this afternoon, I make no guarantees I can though. It will depend on the road conditions between my house and the store, but I will monitor the email today.

Due to the snow starting, and the radar looks like it won't be stopping anytime soon, we are working on shutting down for the day. We will be closed by 3:30. We appreciate your understanding.

Piper and Remi (the mini's that lived at the store) are enjoying bonus hay with their buddies! Piper is smarter and went for a pile of her own!

MidKnight says the snow means we have a play day at home! I had to make her sit to get a picture that wasn't blurry! 😂

I will assess the conditions again in the morning and if the roads are clear enough, we will be open. Please check back here to see before coming to the store. We may open late and stay open later if possible.

Due to current weather predictions, the earliest we will be open on Friday January 10th and Saturday January 11th is 9am each day. We have updated the voicemail at the store (770-788-7380) saying that we are opening late and if you are hearing that message, we are NOT open. We will change it back to the generic greeting once we are open. Updates will also be posted on Facebook. We appreciate your understanding!

Please monitor the weather and plan ahead some. If the current forecast actually happens, there is a good chance we will NOT be open full days, if at all, on Friday and Saturday. Please check Facebook or call the store to see if we are open before driving over!

As winter gets worse, the victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina and Tennessee are still struggling. The new owners would like to get more feed sent out to them, and have offered to match any donated feed, up to 2 pallets (80 bags). Please come by the store to purchase a bag or two and we will donate the same bags!

It’s official! Jimmy and I would like to say a sincere “thank you” to all our loyal customers for the last 21 years!! It’s been a honor to build West Walton Feed and to serve the community. The friends we have made has been the best thing about opening the store in 2003.

I want to assure all the customers, the new owners are awesome! Jennifer and the rest of the crew will still be there. I have no doubt the store is going to grow and become bigger and better than ever! Thank all yall for not only being valued customers but friends!
