Suds and Scissors Pet Grooming – located 4711 Babcock ST NE, , Palm Bay FL 32905 - is now looking for compassionate animal lovers to join our team! We need a FULL-TIME dog groomer.
We are a very friendly team, each groomer can make his own work schedule for every working day. If you cannot groom big dogs, then no one will force you.

Any candidate must:
· Have authorization to work in the United States
· Be able to lift 50 pounds from floor to table with or without assistance
· Be punctual with reliable transportation
· Be courteous, patient, and friendly while providing excellent customer service
· Be able to work Saturdays

Our groomer’s duties will include:
· Have at least 1 year of recent grooming experience and can provide references
· Can groom 5 – 8 dogs of various breeds and sizes to breed specific styles a day.
· Check for parasites, scabs, moles, lumps, or other skin and ear conditions
· Answer phones, check messages, and return calls in a timely fashion
· Access customer information to determine who clients should be scheduled with
· Verify vet and vaccinations on record are current
· Update customer information including detailed notes of services rendered
· Contribute to maintaining a sanitary salon and equipment

Groomer’s salary: Commission rates vary based on experience (50% and more) + tips
We offer full-time W-2 status and 5-day work weeks with weekly pay.

This is a small shop that only does dog grooming where everyone supports each other in a friendly environment and ensures delivery of well manicured dogs to long standing customers. Each Groomer chooses their schedule and breeds of dogs that they will groom based on incoming appointment requests - everyone has a flexible schedule to meet their work-life balance. You are paid 55% of the sales you generate plus tips so that the more appointments you sign up for, the more you can earn.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of grooming experience. You must be able to lift at least 50lbs as dogs need to be lifted into tubs for bathing. The shop is very supportive and friendly, so no drama or politics. Respect for each other is a guiding rule.

Customers are encouraged to wear masks but do not enter the grooming area, only the waiting area. Grooming stations are cleaned after each dog is groomed.

Olga, who always put our furry friends' health and comfort first, has left our salon in order to care for a family member. We miss her deeply and will pass along your well wishes.

Amanda, the Salon Manager. She helps out behind the scenes and loves teaching people ways to care for their pets skin and coats.

Abby, with 8 years of experience and a quick wit, I'm sure she will be a customer favorite soon enough!

The salon is closed until January 2. We will be open regular hours, 8:30-4:00.
Note: there is also a price increase this year which will be at least $2.00 higher than what it was. Depending on the breed.

Just an update on our holiday hours.
The salon is open Monday thru Wednesday 25-27 and closed for the Thanksgiving weekend.

Well it seems the worst of the storm is behind us. 🐕

When our regular customers come and tell us they are embarrassed how bad their dogs looks, this is what we see far too often.
