From my first pup over 20 years ago to assistant managing an animal shelter and clinic, I've delt with all kinds of critters. Large Malamutes to tiny Hamsters I've cared and treated for them all. Skilled in giving daily medications and injections as well. Having worked in a shelter environment, I'm used to making friends with scared & timid animals.
I'm skilled with :
• Oral medication for dogs and (most) cats
• Injectable medications such as insulin
• Daily subcutaneous fluids for senior animals
• Animal behaviour and basic training

I do require a quick meet & greet with the owner and pet before sittings. This allows the dog to meet me for the first time and I can learn the dog's usual routine and where everything is! For dog walks, dogs must have a secure harness and lead available. No zip/autoretract leashes. I can bring my own leashes if needed. This is for the safety of the pet. A spooked dog with a new person can easily slip out of a collar or loose vest-like harness.
A typical drop-in visit is 30min and includes 1-2 visits outside for dogs, some playtime & feeding. If I notice your pet has any health items needing attention (ear infection, hot spots, ect) I'll let you know as well. If you would like, I can also do nail trims on cats & dogs and any basic grooming that may be needed. For dog walks, this area is great for neighbourhood walks in addition to trips to local parks if owner has a trail the pet knows and enjoys. My car is dog-ready with backseat protection and seatbelt harness buckles.
