Not all HEROES wear capes 😉We have truly the best Volunteers. Featuring Cata, with a heart of gold, ambitious, caring, and giving back to help Rescues 🐾❤️
"I have a degenerative disease called muscular dystrophy, but LIFE has taught me to make the best out of every day.
I grew up having dogs, and I love them very much! 🐾🤗
Anyways, my reason to volunteer at the shelter is, unfortunately, I can't have a dog of my own.
Through volunteering, I am able to spend time with dogs ❤️
I met a couple of amazing women volunteers on my first volunteering day, and we did dog enrichment together. It was great!
Then I found out that I could be a yard attendant, and a super nice mentor trained me to do that!
Not only beneficial for the dogs because they spend time outside, but we can also get them familiarized being around a wheelchair, or we can tell if they are not too fond of it.
I work from home, and going to the shelter gives me the opportunity to get out of my house and see dogs and meet wonderful people! 😊
My favorite quote is:
“It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up” — Babe Ruth
