It’s summer clip time!
We like to see our clients every 6weeks or less 🫶🏻
This helps with keeping their coats in tip top shape and we can often times catch matting before it turns into a huge job.

Why we don’t do large scale dematting? A coat that is dematted often times will come with cuticle damage which is like a split end for humans. Not only is it painful for our fur babies, it also damages the hair which will make brushing more difficult, and will likely mat again.
In many ways it’s far more humane to start fresh and shave down.

Shave downs do not mean your groomer is lazy, they are looking out for the betterment of the pet 💓

If you can not get a greyhound comb through your pets fur, then your groomer will not be able to get longer blades through it either.

Good morning! 🐾💞🐾

We have had a lot of conversation lately with pet parents about what they can be doing at home to help save on the cost of grooming. Our base rate per hour averages out to $30 per pet. This covers my hourly rate and the supplies/utilities/ insurance needed to effectively run a small business.

No 2 pets will be charged the same based solely on breed. Your neighbors golden might have a very thick coat and doesn’t like the dryer at all so it takes double the time to effectly groom them. The time that the pet is in the salon until completion is what cost of the groom is based on as we strive to be a one on one salon.

I understand more than anyone how expensive it can be to maintain certain coat types. It can also be pretty labor intensive.

We do offer sessions on learning to groom your pet yourself in your home. If these are not a good fit for you I am still more than happy to send a supply list your way and some pointers. The goal is a happy healthy pet and a content educated pet parent ❤️

We offer some very unique and selective services to our community. It is what works best for us and the majority of our clientele. If our salons services are not needed for your pet or you personally need to take a different route I absolutely will not be offended and will happily offer other alternatives locally that are reputable, skilled, safe, and well trained! I am also happy to point you in the direction of the DIY method!

Tractor supply in Westfield has a very very nice bathing and grooming room with all the shampoos, tables, tubs, and force dryers. It’s a flat rate no matter how much product you use or time you’re there for $14.99!
I would suggest bringing your own tools (brushes/scissors/ nail clippers)

Let’s talk about sanitation.
If you’re groomer is not properly sanitizing their tools then there is a much higher chance that your pet is going to contract a zoonotic disease- skin issues- and the cut just isn’t going to be as good because dander, greasy fur, f***l matter (at times from sanitary trims) will get transferred from pet to pet.

Please please ask your groomer how they sanitize their space and tools!

I’m asking $100 for the table and $150 for the 8” straight and chunker sheer set.

These items are no hold, as is, and fully functional- there is no arm for the table.
