Clover gets to spend more time with us!

Their last night together 🥺. Babies started going to their families Friday night. Blue (named Blue) is with his family in Okoboji, Darla (Pink) went to her home in Omaha, then Black and Tilley (Purple) got picked up Saturday, we made a special delivery to Fiona’s house (Red girl from last year’s litter) and now she has her baby brother Flash (Grey) to play with. Tucker (Green) and Clover (Yellow) get to spend some more time with Sonne and Ace while their families finish getting ready for them. I miss them, but I think I speak for Sonne and Ace too, when I say they were a handful!

They took over the cot and kicked mom and dad off. They are getting so big, 7 weeks old, all have new families waiting for them. Bitter sweet, I won’t miss waking up twice a night with them, and I get my dining room space back, but I’ll miss their playtime and snuggles. They get to go to their older sibling’s 1-year birthday this weekend. Last year Sonne and Ace had 6 sweet babies, not all of them will make it, but it should be a fun time.

Seven littles. I was too tired to count the genders and weigh them. We can do that at the vet’s tomorrow.

Sonne and Ace are the proud parents of six healthy puppies. It's been a joy for their host family to home my Sweet Girl, Sonne Day, and her mate, my baby, Ori Ace. I received a short notice reassignment from North Carolina to Nebraska in May 2022, and with very little time I couldn't find a place to live and care for newborn puppies and my military job. Megan, her husband and her 4 children took Sonne and Ace in while I finished my relocation to Nebraska and spend whatever time I had left with my dad.

Sonne (German spelling for Sun) was the sunshine I needed when we found each other in September 2020. She came from a very sweet family in Georgia, and my roommate adopted her brother George at the same time. George and Sonne were about 6 months old when I brought Ace home in March 2021 from a nice North Carolina family. The three of them were quite a handful, but George was a great big brother to Ace and played with him all the time. George and my roommate got their own house in the fall of 2021 and George plays outside with his human grandpa and grandma all the time and loves when kids come to visit.

Ace is named after my dad Dallas, nicknamed "Ace." My dad was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago and recently passed away on July 31st, 2022. Ace has the special ability to make all the problems in the world melt away, just like my dad did. He has the kindest eyes, and loves giving kisses. Ace knows how to "fix it" and mends a broken heart with his kindness.

Between the host family and I our #1 goal is to find these 6 precious puppies their forever home, and families that will love them as much as we do.

Pink Girl - Thinks that she is a lap dog, loves to be held, very sweet and calm.

Blue Boy - Loves to snuggle, and will steal your heart. Looks like a black bear with his tiny stump of a tail or "bobtail." So far he seems to be growing and progressing at the same speed as his siblings.

Took a couple of them out on the grass for the first time. This little girl just wanted to sun bathe and smell the roses.

Sonne and Ace's first litter of 4 girls and 2 boys born 26 July 2022. Puppies will be ready for their new families as early as 20 September 2022.
