Barb Carroll and I developed a close friendship that spanned close to 20 years. It all began in 2004 when she sold me a Spirit son “Kirby”. I’ve since had a total of 9 Bentbrook Boxers including a Bentbrook breeding to my Bentbrook show bitch “Abby” in 2011. That entire litter of 4 stayed with me until their deaths (the last in January 2023). I currently own two almost 8 year old Spirit brothers and will be taking in at least one of the dogs Barb owned at the time of her passing.
Barb and I spoke to each other regularly and she enthusiastically passed on as much of her boxer knowledge and breeding advice as she could. I will never know as much as she did about the breed.
Barb entrusted me with the stewardship of the frozen semen of her beloved stud dogs after her passing. It is a great honor and privilege to be chosen with carrying on with her legacy and furthering her goal of breeding superlative and health tested dogs.
Barb left me specific requirements for breeding requests. My intention is to handle these in a manner which I think will most closely replicate what she would have done (along with the advice of people in the Boxer world she respected and trusted).
Finally, I want to emphasize that 100% of the proceeds of any semen that gets sold will be donated to the American Boxer Charitable Foundation Barb Carroll Endowment.
