Did you know that for just $150, you can bring home a fully vetted, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped best friend? That’s right—our adoption fee covers all of this because we’re committed to setting every dog up for success.

Why Adopt a Shelter Dog?

Shelter dogs are often overlooked, but here’s the truth: they’re amazing. Each dog that comes through our doors is treated like family while they’re here. We do everything we can to help them find the perfect forever home.
• Testing & Socialization: We cat-test, dog-test, and even take dogs on car rides and meet-and-greets to learn as much as we can about their personalities.
• Training Foundations: We work on crate and leash training and give adopters tips to continue their progress at home.
• Support for Adopters: Need advice or have questions after adoption? We’re here to help, offering guidance and resources whenever you need it.
• Looking for a Purebred? Don’t forget that shelters often have purebred dogs too! Purebreds can and do find themselves homeless just as often, and many of them are waiting here for their second chance.

It’s a sad reality in the shelter world, adoptions are the lowest they’ve ever been and the number of intakes/length of stay keeps growing. Adoption events are not as successful as they used to be. We all hear constantly “I would take one but I already have so many” “I would take them all if I could” etc. How and what can all shelters/rescues do to improve the number of adoptions? Puppies and kittens are growing up in the shelter not being able to experience what it’s like to live in a home, senior dogs are dying wondering why here instead of being at home with their family. Decisions have to be made that no shelter or rescue wants to face if things don’t change soon. Please adopt from a shelter or rescue so many animals are in need of a loving family. 🙏

Animal shelters are amazing places that provide care, love, and safety for homeless animals. They also work very hard to find them forever homes, educate the public about animal welfare, and promote spaying and neutering. Animal shelters deserve our gratitude and support all year round. Appreciate your local animal shelter. 🐶
