🔸️ ATTENTION: APPALACHIAN TRAIL DOG OWNERS & HIKERS 🔸️

Over the weekend, it was reported that a hiker found dog treats stuffed with fishhooks near the George W. Outerbridge shelter on the Appalachian Trail.

The incident occurred near the North Trail Loop leading to the shelter, on State Game Lands #217, in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Items like these could prove deadly to any animal that consumes them, including wild and domesticated animals.

If anyone has any information about the incident or locates more findings, please call 1-833-PGC-WILD or 1-833-PGC-HUNT immediately.

A lot of older people either live alone or in group facilities. Having a pet to take care of can literally help us stay healthier, even lowering things like blood pressure and cortisol. 🫶
Meet Coba our little rescue dog from the town of Coba in the Yucatan.
He’s just over a year old and brings us so much entertainment and join. We adopted him along with his little sister last June. It’s been so wonderful that I’m looking for my own rescue puppy to adopt.
There are just so many animals in need of a home, and so many older people in need of love and support.
