Meet some of the newest members of Reed’s Rescue the Class of Fall 2025.
Colby, Jelani, Frosty, and Goldie have all just joined us and are settling into their foster homes.Each one is wishing for their First Day of Furever Home, and we can’t wait to see who will step forward to give them the love and comfort they deserve.

COLBY’S FREEDOM RIDE WAS A SUCCESS! ✨ This handsome 9-year-old terrier mix is settling into his amazing foster home after being surrendered to a shelter. He’s had some challenges, including a possible stress-related seizure, but his foster mom has stepped up to give him the second chance he deserves. We’re so grateful for her willingness to open her heart and home to this deserving boy. What lies ahead for Colby? Lots of love, comfy naps, and hopefully, a forever family! Stay tuned for updates on his journey. We’re incredibly grateful for fosters like her who make a world of difference!

DJ, 14 and Rex, 12 were surrendered to Baltimore County Animal Services as a bonded pair their fate was down to the wire with only hours left. Does our rescue already have bonded pairs that have not been adopted yet (Snupe/Nike & Barki/Starki)? Yes. Could we say no to this senior pair in need? No. Why?! Because an amazing foster Lora answered our pup call in the sky. Welcome DJ and Rex to the Reed’s pack. You are safe, together as it should be.♥️

Duchess Needs a short term Dog Sitter: Sept 11–23
While her foster is away, Duchess is hoping for a quiet place to rest her head. She’s sweet, well-mannered, and fully house-trained. No crate needed, no bad habits, just a gentle pup looking for a cozy couch.
If you’re able to host her for any or all of the time, we’d love to hear from you. Even a few days can make a big difference.

Mr. Tank (aka Mr. T aka Tank aka T) came to us from a crowded Virginia shelter as an urgent plea with only hours left before euthanasia. Then two amazing fosters Mary Jo and Kevin saw the pleading eyes of this sweet pittie and fell for him. He arrived to them snotty, congested with an upper respiratory and had weeks of recovery until he was well enough for his neuter surgery. His urgent plea was answered when Mary Jo and Kevin stepped up to foster and we are happy to announce this pittie boy can add foster fortune to his list of nicknames. His fosters have made him official! Happy Adoption Day!

Class is back in session and Starki and Barki are hoping this semester ends with a forever family. 🏡✨
At 9 and 11 years old, these best friends have spent a lifetime side by side. Where one goes, the other follows double the cuddles, double the snacks, double the love. 💛

Every rescue dog dreams of their First Day of Furever Home 🏡✨ For Ralph, that dream is all about wagging his tail at new friends, chasing toys in the yard, and curling up for snuggles after a day of fun.
At 8 years old, this sweet pittie mix was pulled from the PG County urgent list and is now searching for both a foster and, one day soon, his forever family. Energetic, happy, and full of life, Ralph is ready to shine in the right home.
