Real Talk: These three senior dogs were rescued by us last week. 3 dogs in a week is a ton for a rescue. To continue to save senior dogs we need the community’s help more than ever. Everyone knows that local shelters have been full for almost 2 years straight and the face of reality means this could be the new normal (to bring back a pandemic term). Though it doesn't need to be all doom and gloom, you can help us and the shelter crisis. Three simple words:

It is a choose your own destiny. Fosters are needed to help pull senior dogs out of shelters. We pay the vet visits and all supplies needed to care for the pup. MEET ASTER: This girl is a beautiful flower waiting to bloom in your heart and home. Aster named after the native flower that blooms late fall in the toughest conditions is similar found living in a tough situation on the street as a stray. Baltimore County Animal Services saved this little flower and sent out a rescue plea due to her age and we couldn't say no.🌸🐶

Since Aster has been with us, she has truly blossomed into the pup she was meant to be. She loves people (especially kids) and other pups. Her foster says, "Aster is such a sweet and gentle soul. Aster would make a great family dog!"

Rupert is safe with us- one of our board members is headed to save him and pull from Baltimore County Animal Services. Rupert is 13 years young and needs a permanent foster home. Welcome Barnacle Boy to the Reed’s pack! His freedom ride from the shelter to his foster home was today. Thank you to the amazing transport volunteers that stepped up to give him a lift to his foster home. He is settling in now and will need time to heal and recuperate. Your donation helps with vet bills so we can save more senior dogs. We cannot do this work without the community’s help.

These two ladies Joya, 13 and Bitty, 12 are recuperating from surgeries this week. Joya, the perfect pittie had her spay surgery and a mass removal. While Bitty, cute yorkie had her spay surgery, mass removal and 9 yucky teeth removed. Whew, what a trooper. Help us send healing vibes their way.
