We had a great time at the Paws in Motion Walk-A-Thon yesterday in support of Humane Society of Manatee County! Thank you to everyone who raised funds for the humane society by walking , buying gifts for the shelter dogs and donating! Also, Thank you to everyone who supported our small business. It was so much fun petting all the dogs, meeting the folks from the humane society and the other vendors, petting more dogs and seeing dogs wearing our collars and leashes during the walk! With the help of the awesome community, we were able to increase our monthly donation to the humane society and send lots of goodies (treats, ice cream, collars and toys!) to the shelter for the pups to enjoy as well!

The Humane Society of Manatee County was a big inspiration in the startup of Dogfam. Scrolling on social media I saw a post about them saving multiple dogs from death row, even pregnant mamas 😭😭😭. They GAVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE and helped all the dogs to get healthy and find them the families they deserve. This is what they do and it’s AMAZING! I wished I could do something to assist, so I donated… but wanted to be able to give more. I figured, why not use my skills and love and designing/crafting into something that allows me to help!? That is why we donate a portion of every leash or collar purchase to HSMC, and will continue to do so as long as we are in business.

We are just ONE WEEK away from our first vendor fair and I’m SO EXCITED for it! We will be set up in the vendor village of the Paws in Motion Walk-A-Thon to benefit Humane Society of Manatee County.

If you are local to the Bradenton area there is still time to sign up and help to raise money for this great cause. You can walk in person or virtually! So even if you aren’t local you can still help out from anywhere! We can’t wait to be a part of this special event ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
