These 4 ladies are officially within their “safe” window to have their babies! Ideally they will hold off for 5 or more days to reach their full due dates, but babies born at anytime after today would have an excellent chance at survival. Any guesses on who will kid first?

I always feel like somebody’s watching me! Faith is always on guard; especially at night. Some candid shots from her working tonight. Not even the stealthy owls get past Faith!

Feed prices are no joke and just keep rising.

Happy 2nd birthday to Verona and Chip! Verona is due to have her first kids February 25th!

So proud of this pretty girl! She was at a major disadvantage of being a first freshener who had a single kid, didn’t get milked until over 40 days after she kidded AND she moved from the only farm she’s ever known AND all the hurricanes and she still showed up every day and put that milk into the pail! Can’t wait to see how she milks this next time around. Join us in congratulating Rite Choice Hazel “Hazel” on unofficially earning her milk star! Congrats on your well deserved and earned milk star, Hazel! ⭐️

We’re at less than 30 days to go until our first set of does are due to kid! First kids should start hitting the ground around 1/3/2025 for the first 4 does. Next set of does is due first of February with another group due end of February, end of March and waiting to confirm last set due early April.
We’ve been busy rebuilding from the hurricanes and are almost ready to welcome these new babies and the New Year. Babies means GOAT CUDDLES return as well. Our first session is January 18 and is almost sold out already. We can’t wait to see everyone this year and share our kids and farm with the community.

Goat barn revamp almost complete! Just have to level up the floors and bring in the stall mats. The divider doors will only be up during kidding season and the rest of the time will be removed so the barn is more open. Super happy with this configuration as it makes the space much more usable and versatile.

From our farm and family to you and yours, Happy Thanksgiving! May your table be surrounded with family and friends, good food and many memories made.

Been a lot of work, but got the old “tarp barn” converted to an actual shelter with walls and a real roof!

Confirmed zephyr and Marilyn as bred today. Both look to be expecting twins to triplets. Both of these pairings should make some impressive milkers. We will be retaining a doe from each of these breedings.
Zephyr has been in milk since early May 2022 and is still putting it in the pail. She is bred to Maverick whose littermate sister milked just shy of 1100 pounds as a 2F.
Marilyn as a FF easily earned her 18*. Yes, she’s an 18* milker! She’s bred to Brute whose dam was #8 on the Top 10 MDGA mini lamancha milkers as a first freshener and her second freshening hasn’t disappointed.

These 2 pairings happened today!
Dahlia we’ve long awaited kids from since she tragically lost both kids back in 2022 and then had a double mastectomy a week later. Hoping she settles as she’s been bred a few times since her C-Section and mastectomy, but hasn’t been able to conceive successfully. Her dam, Cami is a powerhouse of a milker who has milked over 1,000 gallons of milk in a single lactation going all the way back to January of 2021! Jack has unofficially earned his +B (meaning he has 3 daughters out of 3 different dams who have proven themselves as milkers) so this pairing should really bring the milk!
Legacy and Jack are paired again as Legacy is my best Nigerian milker and Jack has produced some milky daughters including Lily who is Jack and Legacy’s daughter from 2021. Lily milked over 800 pounds (100 gallons) as a first freshener and with Jack getting older, I realized I somehow haven’t retained any sons from him, so figured I’d better breed him back to the best and hope for a boy! Legacy has always been heavy in the boy department (yes, I know the buck determines the s*x of the kids) as she’s had quads both times she’s kidded and both times was 3 bucks and 1 doe.
Hoping to confirm both of these pairings in about a month!

A Real Field of Dreams: Serenity Oaks Homestead’s Story
Serenity Oaks Homestead is a 6 acre farm established in 2015 and is home to pasture raised flocks of Welsh Harlequin, Pekin, Muscovy and Indian Runner ducks as well as several guard geese. Our water fowl are pasture raised and receive no medications, antibiotics or hormones, and live as naturally as possible so the eggs they lay and the ducklings they raise are of superior quality. We have ducklings as well as fertile duck eggs for hatching and duck eggs for eating/baking available.
You'll also find our large flock of pasture raised chickens roaming free on the property as they spend their days searching for bugs and vegetation. Our chickens are raised without the use of antibiotics, hormones or medications and provide our farm fresh eggs, fertile eggs for hatching and chicks we offer for sale.
Niles and Frasier, our rescued horses as well as three rescued miniature donkeys also call Serenity Oaks home. One of the donkey's is one of only 9 registered therapy donkeys in the US and is able to visit assisted living homes, schools and many other places providing compassion and reassurance to those who need it most.
Our ever expanding herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats can be found browsing for weeds and sunbathing upon their many climbing platforms while raising their kids and providing the milk for our raw milk sales as well as cheese, soap and other goat milk products. Our goats are disease tested yearly and we maintain a Florida Feed Master License (Z004323). We never utilize any milk from goats who are receiving medication and our goats only receive the highest quality of hay, non-medicated grain and have access to pasture all day long.
2 Kunekune pigs spend their days cleaning up the goat's leftover hay and wallowing in the cool mud and kiddie pool. Kunekune are a friendly and rare breed of pig who absolutely love attention. They quite often will flop over and want belly rubs, just like your family dog!
We offer farm tours as well as educational classes and love to share our farm and animals with others! Click on the book online link in the menu to reserve your tour or class today and come meet our animals or stop by to pick up some farm fresh eggs and raw goat milk.
