We can't speak on behalf of other companies, but here at Sadie's Select we have a deep connection with the quality and passion for our company and food.
Sadie's Select was started out of a necessity for a clean quality food, for the pet parents who are looking for a product with zero synthetic supplements, no fillers, no grains, no legumes, no starchy vegetables, no BS. Our Foods always have been, and always will be Whole Foods.
Rest assured our pack eats nothing but the Blends we make. My motto has always been "If Sadie can't eat it- we won't use it!" And for those who get to see us in person at the farmers markets, it's well known what a stickler I am for what Sadie gets to eat. The poor girl doesn't even get a single fry from (the human sure does🤣)
Sadie's first 9 months of life we're pretty rough. Her skin looked horrendous, she smelled like a corn chip factory, her skin was oily, she was beyond itchy, and her fur would quite literally stick in your hand if you pet her against the grain. We tried the cheapest foods, and we tried the most expensive and a bunch in between. Absolutely nothing helped- the only help Sadie's first veterinarian offered was pills or shots to "help" with the issues. To me that's just a Band-Aid and would never fix the root cause of the problem. We finally switched her to Raw at about 9 or 10 months old. Within a month all her issues slowly went away.
This year in May 2024, Sadie will be turning a healthy 9 years old. She plays fetch whenever the ball is shown to her, she runs, walks, and is still extremely active. Nutrition has a key role in that.
So if you ever wondered if Sadie's Select was just a company with a cartoon dog, no it is not. Sadie's Select is a family-owned company with a mission to provide healthy, whole food options for the concerned pet parent.
