So sad to see that one of my former rescues, Cody, is now being offered up for sale as a mid-teen horse (he is 21) without mention of his Cushings…why can’t people be honest and forthright??? It will be the horse that suffers….

Update on Sally:
The vet advised no surgery on her sarcoids, as surgery tends to aggravate sarcoids and cause more. Thus, we are currently using homeopathic means to try and eliminate the existing sarcoids and prevent more from forming. Meanwhile, she has a 5-acre paddock to run free on, and receives generous helpings of hay/pellets/supplements to optimize her immune system. Her feet are trimmed regularly, she is groomed and loved, often, and occasionally worked in the round pen.
Sally is a beautiful horse with so much potential. She moves out beautifully, she is personable, and she would love to be someone's soulmate. Sally is looking for her forever home. She is a beautiful 16+HH, 10-12 year old, Thoroughbred mare. She is very friendly -- a little pushy, but always eager to get taken out and handled. She has two sarcoids that are scheduled to be removed June 4. I have not personally ridden her because one of the sarcoids is in line with the girth and hurts when touched. I am trying to obtain her riding history, but indirect report by last trainer says no buck. She stands for farrier. She has good strong legs, and moves beautifully when turned out. 1. Sally, our rescued thoroughbred mare, has sarcoids that need to be removed
2. Cody, our rescued Quarter Horse 20-yr old gelding, has Cushing's, and needs a daily pill that costs about $2.50/pill.
3. Mikey, our rescued mini C**t, needs to be gelded.

Additionally, we are accepting donations for monthly feed costs, farrier costs, and various other supplies, such as fly spray, feed buckets, water buckets, etc.
