Haven't been able to get pictures yet because stupid daylight savings makes it dark every visit! Shawn finally got some good pics for me this morning (I had my infusion yesterday and was a little dizzy so he's been helping with visits). Problem with tan dogs: finding them in leaves 🤣 Louie and Isabel always give us a giggle that's for sure! Such happy pups! Happy to spend the weekend with them! 💜

Forgot to post yesterday! But here's my Halloween crew I got to visit yesterday! We had fun playing outside! Sierra (white/gray), Charlie (golden), Holly (brown), and Athena (husky) enjoyed the chilly strong winds while I tried hiding from the winds 😅 love this crew! 💜

FYI for all current and new clients:
So few know this, and I'm not ready to fully talk about it, but wanted to let my friends and clients know. In September I made the extremely difficult decision to leave the paw paw clinic. It was nothing against the clinic, there were just some difficult events that occurred that I was struggling to heal from and lost my confidence. I still love my ppvc family and will continue to bring my pets there. I miss them so much it still hurts daily. I've spent this last month not working, taking a break, focusing on my side business and Jaydens recovery. Every day is hard. I'm starting a new job as an LVT at a smaller clinic where I can focus on my fear free techniques and hopefully get my bearings again. I know it will still be a struggle for a while, but I'm hoping with time I can grow again.

What this means for Love and Cuddles:
1. Due to my new clinic being in kalamazoo, I will not be able to do visits on my lunch break to paw paw area clients. HOWEVER, please still reach out if you need these as SOMETIMES my husband, Shawn, can do quick (discounted rate) drop ins for potty breaks. This is never a guarantee with his job (CPS) and if he gets a call that he has to go into the field, your visit will be canceled and refunded.
2. My days off will likely be Mondays. So nail trim appts needed during the day can be Mondays or weekends.
3. My commute is longer so I will not be doing more than 1 or 2 pet sitting contracts at a time, I'm not a morning person so needing to do several different houses in the morning before work would mean I have to get up at 4am and just no thank you. So please reach out sooner rather than later so I can make sure you get what you need.
4. Any after work visits for pet sitting or nail trims will be around 6pm or later most likely due to commute and when I actually leave work.

You're welcome to ask me questions anytime, just don't be offended if I say I'm not ready. I'm an open person, and I know talking about it helps, but some days are harder than others. Thank you to those that know and have kept reaching out to check on me, it has meant the world to me. 💜

Sorry things have been quiet recently. Lots of changes happening in my life and our girl Jayden had her first knee surgery Wednesday. So she is getting round the clock cuddles and attention right now. She's doing great though! Thank you everyone that has reached out to check on her and us. I am still scheduling nail trims and pet sitting, etc right now but not packing my schedule so still reach out if you need anything! 💜

Watched this crew yesterday and this morning! Shawn came with to do their nails and I'm so proud of them! Johnny (corgi) has previously had issues with getting his nails done. We learned peanut butter is the best distraction! This was the first time doing nails without mom so it can always be different when you change routine. But he did amazing! I'm so proud of all of them! 💜

Some changes are happening! Instead of doing a day of pet sitting charges, I'm just going to charge per visit to make things easier. Some prices have also changed now that I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Next year I will likely become an LLC, so changes may happen again after that process.

I'm also working in changing the app I use for scheduling, hopefully it will be easier for new clients to get me their info and for keeping track of vaccines! It may take some time to transfer everyone's info over to the new app so I will post a link here for current clients to fill out to help me with the transfer!

Our girl Jayden has her first knee surgery scheduled for October 16th. I will be limiting my services for the week or so following to help with her recovery. But up until then, we will be still be scheduling nail trims and pet sitting until then to help put money towards her surgery!
