My first litter of full visual fluffy French bulldogs. 2 weeks old. My whelper Lalita called me Sunday-Monday 3:43 am. I have to get Ellie to emergency vet, she was scheduled for 8:00 am c-section. Sunday I spoke to the emergency vet in Mt. pleasant & she sent a link to have her admitted if needed. Vet didn’t have any patients so we spoke on the phone for quite a while and she asked me why don’t you ever do natural? I said I would never chance rest. The mama and pups lives. $$$$ 4,000-5,000 emergency c- section price. Vet said if she was brought in Sunday night she would examine & if felt she could then hold on for her scheduled 8:00am c-section. Still not cheap .. my whelper & friend Lo**ta Allen was on 17S heading to Mt. Pleasant from Pawleys Island (1.5 hour drive) And called me saying I think Ellie is giving birth.. 1 minute latter said I no she had a pup.. I was still on the phone & could hear the pup cry (named Lucky) she had the incubator in the car. It was desolate found a driveway pulled in Ellie had the pup all cleaned & cord off. Lalita put the pup in the incubator & was frantically driving to vet 35 minutes to go & Ellie had 2nd pup (Charm) I had given heads up to the hospital that she was close & 2 pups born natural. The vet had gotten on the phone & said they were getting a room ready, blankets & incubator ready. Ellie had 2 more female pups. We chose to ex-ray to make sure she was through (ultra sound previously showed 3 heartbeats but appeared to be 4 pups) Lucky (male) 3 female pups are doing great!! Ellie is a great Momma!! Amazing how chill Momma dog was from natural birth compared to having a C-section. I personally would not try natural birth but nature took its course & turned out🙏🏻🙏🏻 will start posting up to date pics of the litter!!
